Doctor Who. The title of a popular British television show evokes many different emotions. Some individuals, known as Whovians, will grin madly, recollections of aliens attacking planet Earth and their beloved Doctor saving the day dancing around in their heads. Some will roll their eyes at the ridiculous severity of the fandom. And some will scratch their heads, not really knowing what to think. I, dear readers, am one of the ones grinning, the mad girl with tally marks on her arms, the one who listens for the sound of the TARDIS arriving. And one day, sitting in my back yard, I heard that sound. The one that could give me chills in an instant. And the television wasn't on. Oh no. This was real life. This is how I met the Doctor.
