I was a normal hylian until it happened... At 10 years old "Mummy, mummy, look what I can do!" I shouted in joy as I transformed my arm into a zoras fin. I hear my mother gasp in shock "you are no daughter of mine!" My mother shouted angrily causing my dad to run into the room. As my dad walked into the room I changes my other arm into a ritos wing and giggled. "I want you out of here by sun down" my father said with an emotionless voice. I look at him in shock "you are not my daughter" he continued. At this point tears where falling freely down my face. I changed both my arms back to hylian and ran to my small room.
It only took me a few minutes to pack my bag, I made sure it was light enough to fly with as I had decided to turn into a Rito so that I can get out of this place faster. I walked into the room I was in earlier to see painting of us as a family smashed and lying in pieces on the floor. I keep my face emotionless as I leave the house. I quickly change into a Rito and take off. I cast a sad look back at my house before turning my gaze towards where I was going.
I'm not sure how long I've been flying but I do know that I'm flying straight for a storm. My feathers where wet with rain and they were becoming increasingly heavy. I had to land soon. A loud clash of lightning strikes so close to me that it caused me to cry out in shock and jolt sideways. In doing this I lost my balance and began plummeting to the ground. Everything turned black and I no longer felt the rain pelting down on my back.
"Wake up" I hear a soft voice say. I open my eyes to see a beautiful Zora. She looked like royalty she also looked like she was around my age. "Hello, my name is Mipha, I am the Zora princess. This is my younger brother Price Sidon" she said politely with a shy smile. "I am (y/n) I'm a-" I cut myself off and look down to see that I'm a Rito still. "Do not worry child I am aware of what you are, I am also aware that this means that bad omens are ahead." A low voice said I look up and see a large Zora, the king of the Zoras. "May I ask your highness, what am I?" I ask quietly. He looks at me in sympathy "young one you are a shapeshifter. However for now I advise you to stay in Rito form as I will be sending you to the Rito elder" he said I nodded soundlessly in reply. "I healed your wounds for you but please do not fly in a storm again it's extremely dangerous." Mipha said quietly.
My feathers bristle in anticipation as I wait. Wait for what you ask. I'm waiting for the people I'm going to be living with to show up in Zoras domain. I've been told that I'm going to be living with a a couple and their son that's my age. I hear noises outside so I go over to the darkest corner I can find, my pitch black wings helping me blend in. "She was in here a moment ago" I hear Mipha say in confusion. "By any chance does this Rito child have black wings and bright blue eyes?" A female voice is never heard said. I look at Mipha who nods. "She's over in this corner" I hear the little Sidon say with a happy tone. I feel eyes on me and I flinch, not liking the sudden attention. " may I ask why you ended up in Zoras domain?" The Zora king asked. "My mum and dad kicked me out of their house. They said that if they ever saw me again they would kill me" I say with my eyes cast downwards. "Aww sweetie, why did they kick you out?" The female voice from earlier said.
She had bright blue feathers and emerald green eyes. I look at the Zora king to see if I can tell them, he nods. "I found out that I was a shapeshifter" I said quietly. I hear a gasp of shock and flinch away thinking that they wouldn't want me near them. "How cruel. Your only young as well. Anyways my names sapphire. My son and mate are outside waiting. Let's go" she said with a happy smile. She walks toward the door and pushes it open. I wince at the brightness of the light and walk forward nervously. My feathers were sticking out in random directions. "hello there little one" a low voice says causing me to flinch. "H-hello" I stutter awkwardly. "Dad are you sure she is a Rito?" a young male Rito said. He has blue/grey feathers and a pointed beak, he wore a chest plate and carried a bow. "Sharp eyes as ever my son. She is not a Rito she is a shapeshifter and due to the colour and brightness of her eyes I'd day she's hylian." Sapphire said.
Suddenly things go black. When I begin to see colour again I notice that I was still in Zoras domain but things seem different. Yellow arrows where flying everywhere and the Zora were getting injured. I closed my eyes. When I open them again everything's back to normal.
When I come to I notice that my head is laying on sapphires lap "your finally awake. Before you passed out your eyes turned yellow, I'm glad to see their back to their usual blue." She said kindly. "I didn't introduce you to my mate nad my son. My son is Revali and my mate is Shade." She continued. I shot out of her lap and ran out of the room. "Mipha, Sidon!" I called as I ran towards them. "Zoras.... danger... yellow arrows" I pant. "Let's take you to our father" Sidon said.
"Your highness the Zoras are in danger. There's around a hundred monsters on their way to zoras domain. They all use yellow arrows. I saw it in a vision when I passed out" I said hurriedly. I can't let anyone get hurt. I thought of something, maybe I could change into something that can withstand the yellow arrows. "The yellow arrows are shock arrows they use lightning to stun their foes and causes them to drop their weapons. We Zora are weak to these arrows." "I'm going to see how far away they are and how many monsters are in the army-" I begin but I'm cut off by a familiar voice "your not going alone" Revali said and his mother and father walked up behind him and nodded in agreement.
Half hour after we've taken flight I begin to see large hordes of monsters "Revali try to take out as many as you can, sapphire you head back to Rito village and get some reinforcements, Shade you stay here and help Revali. Try to stay near the clouds that way it will be harder for them to see you. I'm going to shift into something else." I command receiving confirmation from everyone. I fly down to the tree line and think of something I could change into. I close my eyes and concentrate. Dragon! I think suddenly. Dragons have thick scales and can breathe fire.

I take to the sky at immense speed. I zoom past monsters and blast them before they even have a change to notice me. My black scales sometimes reflect the moon light but other than that I'm able to remain hidden that is until I get hit. The arrow doesn't shock me at all but it does embed itself into the thin skin of my wings tearing them and sending me crashing into the trees. If I'm injured I can't shift. This is going to be a long fight.
