*The next morning*
Before I head off to school, I apply more makeup than usual and take extra time in what I wear and what my hair looks like. I decide to wear a rose-gold tank top and some black short shorts. I tie half my hair up in a half-up half-down ponytail. I spray on some of Katy Perry's: Mad Potion Perfume before I put on some black sparkly high tops. I take one last look at myself before I go to the bus stop.
When I get to school I find Georgia, Autumn and Abbey waiting for me.
"Wow! You look better than usual. This wouldn't have anything to do with the new guys, would it?" Autumn asks me, wiggling her eyebrows.
"I'm not sure am exactly. I thought about it on the bus and I mean, why shouldn't I date? And like you said, Emma, I've never even had my first kiss yet!" Abbey shows an achieving grin.
"All you guys owe me fifty bucks!" She pints at everyone.
"Oh, I forgot about that bet!" Georgia groans.
"What do you mean 'bet'?" I ask warily.
"Oh, remember when you and Scott broke up on ninth grade and you said you'd never date anyone again?" I nod slowly. "Well, being the good friend I am, I bet everyone fifty bucks that you would have the perfect boyfriend by the time you graduate." I look at everyone dumb founded.
"You all bet whether or not I would get a boyfriend by the end o high school?! And you kept it going for THREE YEARS!!??" I glare at everyone.
"Hey. We'd never pass up the opportunity to win fifty dollars! And to prove everyone wrong!" Abbey says looking at Georgia and Autumn proudly.
We head to our table and the rest of our group comes shortly after.
"Hey look! The new guys are here!" Rhein exclaims. We all look over but with the crowd of populars (aka, Rachel and her 'pack') are all crowded around them it's hard to see their faces. I roll my eyes and turn around.
"What are you doing? Aren't they the reason you dressed up so awesome today?" Sam asks me.
"Yeah, but I keep thinking back to ninth grade and I've realised that I don't need boys, I've got you weirdos!" I reply, grinning at my friends.
"Awwww...!" Everyone except for Abbey says.
"No! I lost the bet!" She whines.
"Look, I haven't graduated yet. But I wouldn't hold your breath."
"Wait a minute! They're walking away from the large group! They're ignoring everyone. Even Rachel?!" Emma says shocked.
"Just ignore them and they might disappear." I say, with my back still turned to them.
"Now, I think they're looking for someone?" Georgia says confused.
"Now way! They're walking towards us! And they've got their eyes fixed on... You?!" Sam says slowly. I finally decide to turn around and see what they look like.
"Hey, Selena!" Two familiar voices say.
"Oh my god! Luke? Michael? What are you doing here?!" I ask smiling, slightly shocked.
