Asher and I stood there contemplating what will become of this situation. I signal Asher to come. I don't want to chance Henry hearing what I say. "I want you to see what you can find on Henry's background. Where he comes from, who he's working for, and such." He nods. "What will you be doing? You can't protect yourself against him, whether you'll admit it or not." I sigh and nod.
"I know. I think I can come up with something. I know that nobody will listen if I tell them about this. They will think I'm just trying to get rid of him because I don't want to be looked after." He hugs me,"Be safe. Do whatever you have to." With that, he sets off to do what must be done. I walk back to the palace, deep in thought. I was so lost in thought that I didn't hear my name being called. I bump into something hard. I look up, dazed. Dain smiles down at me,"Deep in thought I see." For once, I'm actually happy to see him. I smile back,"Yeah. I am. What are you doing here?" Before he could answer, another voice sounded from behind me. "We wanted to see how you are doing." I spin around,"Berinon." He had his usual look on his face. The one filled with darkness, hunger, and disappointment. I frown,"I am..." He raises a brow at me. "Hmm? You're what?" I kept silent causing him to sigh. Henry starts walking towards us, looking rather curious. He bows and asks,"And whom might you be?"
The brothers exchange cautious looks. Dain decides to answer first.
"I am Dain and this is my brother Berinon." Henry taps his chin then snaps. "Ahh, Lord Oliver's sons. I thought you'd be a bit more...manly."
Berinon clicks his tongue and balls his fists while Dain glares menacingly at Henry. After they regain their composure, they ask in unison,"Who the hell are you?" Henry smirks and pulls me close to him. He leans in close to my neck and his arm snakes around my waist. He gives my neck a quick kiss before answering the now furious gentleman. His smirk widens at their reactions. "I am her loyal body guard. I watch over her all day and all night.." He whispers the last part in my ear but loud enough for the boys to hear. I shiver and push him away. He shrugs and walks off. I hear him whisper the last part of that phrase again. All night..The very words made me cringe in disgust. I turn to the brothers once more. They give me a look that reads, You have a lot of explaining to do. I tell them to follow me so I can explain everything. I guide them to the garden that was, like everything else, covered in snow. I tell them everything. Dain looks concerned while his brother looked as if he would kill. I finish with a sigh,"I sent Asher to dig up stuff on this Henry guy. I have to find a way to get rid of him." They nod understandingly. We ponder for a good ten minutes until the sound of rustling in the bushes snapped us out of our thoughts. Out steps Asher with a shocked and disturbed face. "Sapphire, there is something I need you to see. Come." He leads us to the record hall. The entire history of our family is in this room. We walk over to a painting of my uncle, King Sadon the third, and a few of his men. My uncle hates my father and sought to overthrow his kingdom. Of course that never happened. He moved to the far east of the country. I hoped that they would reunite and make peace, but that will never happen. I turned to Asher,"What was it that you wanted to show me?" He turns my head so that I could see one of my uncles men. I gasp, realizing who the man was. "Henry." I look at the picture next to my uncle's. It was Henry with...Hadrian? They knew each other? How? I had to find out and soon. I decide to do the only thing I can do. I was going to visit my uncle.
