Introduction to Magical Studies

Before everything, a couple terms need to be addressed that will be used in this book;

Magical skill refers to how well Magic is handled on a Night to Night basis. This varies from novice to Legendary

Magic Reserves means how much Magic one being can hold

To introduce myself, I am Alucard to put it simply. I work in the Science division and also as a soldier. Glad we got that out of the way...oh, also, some of this book will contain Dark Magic which may be lightly touched upon, or simply named, then discontinued as of request per King Bramble and Queen Luna, so if you get curious because of that, I highly advise you to not go and ask them, they will not be very receptive on specific subjects. As some of you know, Magic is apart of you. Magic is a living being, not just something you can use endlessly and use for your own benefit. The thing about Magic is that Magic is often taken granted for, which is in most cases fine, as nothing is done to the Magical Supply itself that corrupts it in anyway, but if it were to get corrupted, well, that'll be covered later...anyway. I digress. Magic is key to our way of life in a very big way from simple baking to carving out our Empire and expanding it, so I am making this book for every ponies benefit and for those who wish to delve into Magic. This book will be detrimental to the Empire if it falls into the wrong hooves, so if you even try to copy any part of this book without being supervised carefully by either Queen Luna or King Bramble, you will be held for treason. No leniency on trial. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's move on to the basics of Battle magic; Defensive.
