Let me rescue you, I can see the truth...
Naya
"Drink, drink, drink!" everyone chants around me, as I down my drink in one go.
They start cheering when I slam the glass back down on the table, swallowing the last of the drink.
The world spins and I blink a couple of times, trying to get my vision back - it's still too blurry though.
A sudden urge to pee takes over me and I get up, but end up stumbling and falling back into someone's lap.
"Whoa!" Abel, my boyfriend laughs, catching me and gripping onto me firmly. "You okay, baby?"
I giggle and lean against his shoulder. "I'm fiiiiinneeee!" I slur. A sick feeling starts to take over and I instantly jump off his lap and run to the bathroom as the crowd 'ooh's' and 'ahh's.'
I kneel over and vomit into the toilet, my body beginning to shake. Drinking was a bad idea. Why'd I let Hawk talk me into it?
A couple of seconds later, I hear the door open. I don't turn to look because I know who it is from the scent of his cologne.
Abel rubs my back with one hand and holds my hair with the other as I continue to vomit. "I bet you won't be drinking next time," he chuckles when I start rinsing my mouth with ice-cold water.
I laugh lightly. "Definitely not," I say. I wipe my mouth with a tissue and turn to look at Abel.
Words can't describe how much I love him. We've been together over a year now - we've even talked about having kids. We haven't talked about marriage yet because we're both scared as fuck about that shit - there's so much . . . commitment. It's scary to think about it to be honest.
"I love you," I murmur.
Abel grins widely. "I love you, too, baby," he says. He leans forward to kiss me but I step back quickly.
"You don't want to kiss me," I state. "I just vomited."
Abel chuckles and kisses my forehead instead and I wrap my arms around him tightly. I can smell the scent of alcohol lingering onto him. "Do you want to leave?" he asks.
I nod. "Yes, please," I mumble into his chest. "We can get an Uber. I don't think either of us should be driving with all this alcohol in our system."
Abel scoffs. "It's fine, baby," he says, grabbing my hand and leading me out the bathroom. "I can drive."
"Abel, no!" I whine. "It'll be safer if we just -"
"Naya!" Abel sighs. "I can drive. I've drove while high and drunk plenty of times and I've always been fine!"
I sigh, following him downstairs and into the living room. I haven't got the energy to argue with him right now - I'm tired and need my bed.
"Guys, we're leaving!" Abel announces to the crew, who all dap Abel and hug me.
"Until next time, Naya!" Hawk says to me. "Next time, we'll give you something stronger!"
