millie stood outside of her new school, shaking. it was a modern tall building. she amazed at the amount of people that must fit into it.
a few of them pushed by her now, trying to get in.
she inhaled sharply, preparing for the day ahead of her.
first, she made her way to the office block. it was a little separate cube that you had to take a long corridor to get to.
she entered to a few desks with kind ladies behind them, working away on their cheap computers.
there were a few students too. about four, all standing in a cluster, talking about things millie didn't catch.
sadly, millie didn't spot wyatt. wyatt was housing her for her time in the u.s.a and she immediately enjoyed the boy as a sibling type of person.
wyatt has been constantly working on a group project, and so he came to school with the members of that group.
millie sighed. without wyatt, she was a lost puppy.
but she still went to the closest desk, and began her day.
"excuse me?" millie asked, sounding small. "i was told i need to ask for my class schedule from here?"
the lady behind the desk smiled enthusiastically.
"ooh yes!" she squealed. "you must be millie brown? staying with wyatt oleff?"
millie nodded.
"it's millie bobby brown, actually." she mumbled. she wasn't sure why, but she much preferred millie bobby brown instead of millie brown. she always has.
"oh! sorry about that, dear!" she said, clicking away at her keyboard.
millie stood, awkwardly tapping the top of her wooden desk, desperately straining to hear what the kids next to her were saying.
but then, instead of hearing the conversation, she heard her schedule begin to print, and her chance of friends, slipping away.
"alrighty then, hun." the woman, her tag read mrs. apple, yanked out the piece of paper and handed it to millie. "oh, but you're not going to be able to find that in your own."
she frowned, looking over to the cluster of kids. the older woman suddenly perked up, finding just the boy she was looking for.
"jack dear," she called, causing a cute boy to turn towards the two, flashing a friendly smile. "do you mind showing millie to her classes today? i think she might have her classes near you, so..." she trailed off, awaiting a response.
the boy shrugged and gave another one of those friendly smiles. "sure."
"see you later, grazy!" a red-head girl called from where he stood a moment ago.
pink snuck into jack's cheeks, upon hearing his nick name. it was an odd name, and maybe not the best first impression.
"bye sades!" he called back to her, prying the attention off of himself. he then turned back to millie, still blushing, also adding a chuckle.
