"Are you sure about this, Julian?" you asked the nephilim boy, worry stormed your eyes like lighting across a sky. For your one year anniversary he took you to an adventure park filled with rock climbing, zip lining, and bungee jumping. This would be a romantic date idea for two Shadowhunters, if you weren't scared of heights. "Like you're really sure that I'm not gonna die? Because when I die I wanna go out my way."
"And what way is that?" Julian asked you looking amused. "Driving straight into a firework shop while my car is engulfed in flames." He gave his wonderful Julian laugh and you melted accordingly. That laugh of his was something special, it made your heart dance and your soul sing. But everything about Julian made you feel that way. "You're fine Y/N. Your harness is secure and your helmet is on. What's the worst that could happen?" You both started out with zip lining. "This can't be so bad, we're just sitting down and gliding." You thought to yourself while taking a deep breath. You scooted over to the edge, your instructor (a mundane) was waving you over cheerfully. "Julian."
"Yes, beautiful?" (you loved it when he called you that"
"I can't do this." "Why not?"
"Because I'm scared of heights."
"What?!"
"Well, here I go!" You yelled and started even closer to the edge "Y/N, you never told me!" yelled Julian as you jumped off of the little platform in the sky and flew. You started screaming, but after a while of adjusting to the new perspective you realized that your surroundings were breath taking. Trees, and valleys surrounded you in full. You gasped looking around at all of the scenery not realizing that you had to break before you hit the..."Shit!" you yelled as you hit the end of the core with a bang. The instructor laughed and helped you get down. Julian of course floated gracefully over, "show off ." you gulped as Julian clomped over to you in all of his gear "Why didn't you tell me you were scared of heights!? We could have done something else!" The instructor walked over to the other side of the platform pretending to be very interested by a flock of birds.
"I don't need you to baby me!" You flushed. "Also I'm a shadowhunter, I'm not really allowed to be scared of anything." He walked over to you and wrapped you up in a fierce hug like he did with everybody he loved. "I'm so sorry ." you giggled. "Honey, it's fine." Julian didn't look convinced. "Really, I'm okay." You smiled and so did he. "Thank God." He kissed your forehead. "Are you sure you'll be okay?" You giggled again. "Of course! I'm just going to be kind of slow." Julian took your hand in his. "Let's finish the rest of this. You smiled a toothy grin. The instructor went first, you followed leaping into the air.
