"Your sister Vortex is cowardly. Staying back while her teammates fight!" I shouted, still running from my counterpart and her unreasonably large weapon.
"Dark, don't underestimate her!" Paradox yelled out. He was still in the midst of chasing his sister down. She had become too quick for us to catch.
After I heard him say that, I felt a sharp pain in my chest. It felt almost as if I just had a sudden heart attack. - No, Vortex had sent her blade straight through my heart. She just abandoned her battle to finish mine.
"DARK!" I remember hearing someone call out, but I couldn't tell who it was. Though, they sounded familiar. The few seconds that came after only brought a faded world around. Everything around me had been consumed with a blackness.
