JeSsIcA hErE! Sorry it's been so long since my update, Remi and I have been busy... and she's going on the next chapter so have no fear! Enjoy ;)

Bruce Wayne's Point Of View:

No fingerprints... no strands of hair... no traces of similar handwriting... the person that had left this note was obviously skilled at remaining unknown.

And disappearing after Midnight... He or she had left it at the last crime scene, and at the moment it was frustrating me.

The Midnight Phantom could leave something behind, and still stay in the dark about his or her identity.

It could barely be called 'writing.' It was chicken scratch. This would suggest a man, but one could not be sure.

I stared at the parchment, sitting near the computer. Mocking me. Laughing at me. I have the nickname 'World's Greatest Detective' for a reason.

That reason is not to be made fun of by a thief. The Midnight Phantom was stealthier than Catwoman, and as ruthless as the Joker.

I surveyed the note once more, deciding in my mind on how to proceed with the situation. I could talk to Alfred and consider the possibilities.

Batman,

It is  in everyone's best interest that I remain unknown to you and the rest of Gotham City. However, I have some information you may find... well... interesting. It concerns the Joker and his whereabouts. I know what he's up to, and I can help you stop him.

The future of Gotham City isn't a bright one unless the psycho is captured. If you want this information you have to meet me on top of the Ramsey Building tonight at Midnight. I have three conditions you would find simple.

One- No fighting. I want to help. Two- My identity remains unknown and I do not get captured. Three- Come alone. I'll be expecting you. If you don't show I'll take him down by myself but I must inform you if we work silently together we can stop him faster. I'm persistent, I'll keep leaving the messages until you join me.

Sincerely,

    Midnight Phantom

He or she was willing to cooperate... and unless this was some sort of sick trick to murder me in cold blood this was serious.

The Joker was still at large and was getting better at not being found... and if he or she really knew where he was... that could be good for me.

I looked at the clock. It was almost eleven. I had received that note last night at two thirty in the morning.

He or she robbed the mob bank near City Hall. No security cameras picked up on them, and no traces were left behind.

They were good... and I was beginning to know what I was up against. This was going to be a long night.

I took the note to the elevator, and rode it up into Wayne Manor. I ran into the den to find Albert reading a book.

"Can I help you Master Wayne?" he asked, quickly getting up. I made him sit back down and handed him the note.

He read it over carefully. I watched his eyes dart in different directions as he went over each line. It was a bit difficult to read.

"I believe you should go." he finally spoke after a minute of pure silence. Nothing but the cackling of the firewood in the fireplace sounded.

I looked at him without speaking. He was completely serious. I thought he might be... but I couldn't be sure.

"You don't think it's a ploy?" I raised an eyebrow at him. He shook his head slowly, handing the paper back to me.
