Chapter 3: Preparations
Henry's POV:
"Yes ma'am... He leaves again in 3 days? Understood, I'll have people ready to tail him... And $6,000 as the payment, correct? Good, you have yourself a deal ma'am." I hung up the phone. The lady sounded very desperate, it annoyed me. People like her annoy me, the ones that can't handle their problems by theirselves. However, these people are the ones whom pay our bills, so I guess I should be grateful for them.
I walked out of the room and began to look for the people I thought were best suited for this contract. "Finnick, I need you to come with me." Finnick silently got up and followed me. I chose Finnick because he can locate targets, he'll easily be able to follow our guy.
Now I needed Haley and May. Haley can quickly get Finnick and May where they need to be. May can take the target out from a far. Those three could easily kill our target and get back to help us move.
I found Haley cleaning her motorcycle. "Haley, come on, there's a job we need you for," I said standing by the door. She looked up at me and smiled, "Huh? Okay, I'm coming!" As she tried to get up and get around all the tools, she tripped three times. The girl was good on a bike, but not on her feet.
May was with Delilah in the kitchen. They were fixing lunch while listening to the radio. "May, Delilah, we need to talk. I think it would be best for May, Finnick, and Haley to go kill our client's husband." Delilah and May looked at me, but only Delilah spoke, "Very well, when should they leave?"
"Well, the target leaves in three days. We don't know where he's going. I figured if Haley and Finnick can find his car, we could get Lewis to track it. So the two of them should go now. And May can meet up with them on the third day."
Haley nodded, "Right! I'll go get my bike and gear ready. Finnick, meet me outside in 10 minutes, okay?" Finnick nodded and the two of them left to prepare.
Delilah looked at me, "Do you think they can handle it? This is going to be the first mission we sent them on alone. Even May hasn't been on one without me there with her."
Henry sighed, "Delilah, do you doubt my judgement? If I didn't think they could handle this, I wouldn't have chosen them. I would've chosen someone like James."
Delilah was silent for a moment then nodded, "You're right. They'll be okay, they can handle this."
May smiled at Delilah, "Don't worry. I'll make sure that everyone stays safe. I'll keep an eye on them. With my sniping, Haley's speeding, and Finnick's tracking... we will kill the guy and be back in just a couple of days. We'll be okay!" May smiled again and then walked out.
Delilah sighed and continued cooking, "Well, let's just hope this works out well."
