Chapter 4

Lyon's POV

If only Erza new what happened years ago then she might just understand what I've been through all those years.

Flashback

(Lyon was 6 years old and Erza was 5)
"Almost got it." I said in frustration as i tried to grab the red colored kite that was stuck by the tree's branches. A girl just lost her kite. She kept crying for it because there was no one to go get it for her. I then showed up and confronted the girl and helped her get her kite.

Finally minutes later...
I got hold of the kite that the girl lost and gave it to her.

"Here you go, Don't ever let it go again kay." I said smilingly as i gave back her kite.

"Mmkay, thank you strange person for helping me get my kite back." She smilingly said wiping her tears away revealing her beautiful brown orbs.

"Oh sorry, My name is Lyon... Lyon Vastia. What's your name?." I said to her

"Me?, well my names Erza Scarlet." The girl said

"Where's you're Mommy and Daddy, Erza?. They must be worried about you by now.'' Erza looked confused.

"I...I dunno. I-I." Erza was about to cry...

"H-hey don't cry Erza. I'm sure were gonna find them sooner or later right?." She still didn't stop

"I know!!!. Let's buy ice cream then go that swing." I said cheerfully. She had wiped her tears once again and made a cute angelic smile.

"Sure." Erza said

We bought ice cream's of different flavors. Mine was Chocolate and Vanilla, Erza's were strawberry and chocolate chipped flavored.

We went to the swing and i pushed her lightly.

"Weee." Erza said cheerfully enjoying the moment. I laughed heartily and continued pushing her.

Minutes later...

A woman with Scarlet hair and brown eyes came towards us.
Erza told me to stop and i did what I've been told. She got down from the swing and ran towards the lady.

"Erza!!, where have you been?!. I was looking all over for you!." The Lady said hugging Erza.

"Mommy, mommy this is my friend Lyon. He helped me get my kite back." Says Erza walking towards me.

"U-um Hello. Nice to meet you Mrs. Scarlet." I said smilingly.

"The pleasure is all mine Lyon. Thank you for watching my daughter all this time." The lady said.

"It was no problem Ma'am." I said

"C'mon Erza we need to go." The lady said grabbing Erza's hand.

"Wait a sec." Erza said letting go of her mother's grasp.

"Lyon will you come at our house tomorrow?. It's my birthday and i would like you to come." Erza said

"Sure." I said to her

"Do you pinky promise?." She said showing her pinky.

"I promise." I pinky promised her.

"Good bye Lyon!!!. See you tomorrow." Erza said grabbing her mother's hand and waving at me.

"Good bye." I said. I already knew where Erza's house was located. We are neighbors so it's not that difficult to find. I always pass by her house when i go to school.

Erza's Birthday

"Mommy, mommy is Lyon gonna come here already??. My birthday's almost over." Erza said looking down tugging her Mother's red dress.

"I think not sweety." Eileen said holding her daughter in her arms cradling her.

"B-But he pinky promised..." The mother had stayed silent.

"It's gonna be alright Darling, maybe he just forgot. Now stop sulking after all your other friends are here. Go play with Natsu, Lucy and the others." Eileen said to her Daughter.
(This was before they turned mean and bullied Gray. And also Gray was here before their fight happened.)

"Kay." Erza said sadly. The mother was saddened by this, seeing her daughter unhappy on her 6th Birthday.

At Lyon's house

"Mom, Dad please. It's Erza's birthday today and i promised to go there. Please let me go to her." I begged several times but my father still didn't budge. My father have abused me whenever i do something wrong or not to his liking. My mother was a kind person but it always ends up in quarrels and simple fights.

"I told you for a millionth time No!!!. Now go to your room and study. It's better to Study than go to that girl's party." The father said

"Hun, just let him go for once. It's just only for today then It'll be all over." The Mom said

"I said NO!!!. Now just follow my orders or I'll do something worse." The father said angry.

"B-But i promised her... I promised her i would go to her." I said almost crying. Holding back my tears that are attempting to fall.

"Be mature about this Lyon. Promises are just for cowards!!!. We don't do stuff like that!." The father said

"Jaqcuir!!. He's only six years old!. He's still a child!!!." Mom said angered by my ex dad's words.

"Peu Importe. (French for whatever) François you must understand that he needs more education than fun so he needs to have a proper education!!!." The father said

"You need to let Lyon take a break from this. He needs education u got it but he also has to have fun!." The mother said.
Then the quarrel went on and on. I went to my room and cried myself to sleep.

The following morning my parents got divorced because Mom can't take anymore of his stupidity and his stubborn personality. Mom and I moved to France where all my cousins, Grandparents and etc. were located. I went to school there for 10) years. I was 15 years old then we moved back to Japan and that's were i met Gray and Juvia.
And then i was now a senior high student when Gray, Juvia and I moved to a different school. And it was fairy tail Academy. The school where i was now.

Flashback over

I sighed in frustration as i remembered all those memories. I then ate my dinner first because mom was not yet home. She usually comes back at 11:30 pm but I'm starving so i ate first then washed the dishes, took a quick shower then went to sleep.
Off to Dreamland...i suppose...
