Here is Part 3 of Arranged Marriages NEVER work! Especially when your marrying a prep!
**************************************
Staring out the window of the plane, awkwardly avoiding his gaze. That's what I was doing, or at least attempting to do, since James decided to keep calling my name over and over and OVER again. My battle strategy of not talking to him the entire time was not working, seeing as he was just as stubborn as I was. I sighed, switching tactics, sending a pointed glare to the annoying, testosterone filled cupcake sitting just a few inches away from me.
"What?" I bit out, playing bitch so he would stop bothering me.
"You know, we'll be living together, so we are going to have to talk to each other once in a while," was his level response, staring me straight in the eye with that ever-present smirk.
I huffed. He had a point, not that I'd ever admit it to him. My glare subsided and I cast a wary glance down at my phone on my lap. We'd been on the plane for a good hour that seemed to drag on forever. James' parents had spared no expense on our plane tickets, giving us first-class seats complete with wide, spacious reclining chairs...right next to each other. Joy.
Honestly, the feel of his body heat so close to mine in this cold plane was like heaven, even though I wouldn't admit that to anyone, especially myself.
The seat began to shake and I began freaking out, thinking it was the plane shaking and then it would crash down in the ocean and everyone would die except for James and I and then we'd be stuck on a deserted island forever until one of us ate each other. But when I looked down, it was James, bobbing his leg up and down so fast it shook his entire body, his chair, my chair, and myself.
"Stop it."
He looked at me and daringly raised his eyebrow.
"No."
This was met with silence as he bobbed his leg faster, staring me straight in the eye and silently begging me to do something about it.
"Honestly? Why. Just why," I rolled my eyes.
"I like annoying you, you look hot when you're angry."
Silence. I stared at him before turning my back with finality and closing my eyes, ignoring the derogatory comment. If I had to spend the next however long the flight is next to him, it'll be with my eyes closed and brain shut off.
I heard him laugh before shutting him out. Slowly, I fell asleep with thoughts of my friends, my new life, and felt someone place a blanket over my shivering body before the folds of consciousness left me.
