I spent this weekend at my father's and he has a few Gerbils which have babies now, so cute. We treat them very well and they have more than enough room and they don't get food regularly, as if they would live in their natural habitat. But sometimes I am thinking about how it all started, how those mice became pets, or worse: laboratory mice. Of course Gerbils are under protection now, but earlier, when people didn't care that much... Boooi I wouldn't want to be a cute little mouse at those times...
Anyways I studied them (and tried my new sketchbooks and pencils) and drew them and then I became inspired to write a poem...
