It's been fifteen years since I was in the Academy. Roy was busy with working on new arrow heads, whilst I was opening up my cake shop.
The door bell of the shop rang, causing me to look up. My son, Jordan runs in, a big smile on his face.
"Mom, I have to tell you something." He spoke, taking in as much oxygen as he could.
"Sure thing sweetie, want a cupcake?" I asked. He furiously nodded. A chuckle escaped my lips as I got his favourite, chocolate and strawberry cupcake.
We sat at a table.
"Mom, I'm...gay." He spoke quietly.
I stood there, processing the information that was just given. He saw this expression and frowned.
"Honey, I'm glad you came out. I'm proud of you and support you." I reansured him. He smiled and hugged me.
"Thanks mom." Words I hear everyday from my wonderful kids.
