Arrow roamed around the house, but still couldn't find anything. He got so hungry that he decided to leave. He scratched and scratched at the back door, then remembered that there was a doggy door in the back.
Now outside, he tried to jump the tall brown fence and finally got over. Arrow ran street to street searching for his lost family, so he thought, but it was more like his abandoning family. Arrow hit the last street in his neighbourhood when a worker from the pound scooped him right up. The man threw him into a dark cage with nothing but an empty dog bowl. Arrow didn't know where they were taking him, but he hoped it was somewhere with food.
Not long after they arrived at a giant building, he could hear cats and dogs, and could practically taste the scent of freshly made dog treats. Most of all, the smell of his favourite food brand: "Kibbles and Bits". The man carried the dark cage into the building and tossed him in another cage. This one also had a bowl of food and water, and even a treat for desert, but all the other dogs where angry.
Arrow was confused. "Why?" he asked a dog in the cage next to him.
"Why is everyone so down?" He replied. "This is jail! Jail for dogs! It's where people go animal shopping and the workers go killing the dogs who are here too long." Arrow's eyes widened as his hackles bristled up as tall as ever. He began to freak out completely.
He tried to bust the door open, and suddenly went flying through the air. All the dogs looked over and cheered "nice!"
"The manager must have left the lock open after he fed you! Oh, sorry, the name's Jack." The German shepherd from earlier barked.
A man walked in with a bloody knife and all the dogs in the pound began whimpering.
From a distance, a dog called out "that was my brother". I hid behind a bucket at the end of the cages and the man walked out without noticing I was even there.
I ran to the other side of the room and pushed the big pink button to let out all of the dogs and that's when the man walked in again while all the dogs were out of their cages and he ran out screaming we then also ran out but instead we ran outside we said our goodbyes then all shot off into different directions but jack followed me
I got back to the abandoned house and their was a car in the drive way, jack and arrow went inside, it was a older lady with grey hair and a cane the lady saw jack and I and she took them to her home and took care of them as if they were her own and ended up adopting them for real and just the week later she adopted a Siamese kitten and named her lexa but she did not abandon them they just all lived together happily for the rest of their k-9 years
