o b s i d i a n p r e f a c e

Love and death go hand in hand. They're two sides of the same coin. Yin and Yang. Dark and light. They coexist like the deer and mountain lion. One does not come without sacrifice to the other.

How unfortunate it is to love something that death can touch. How torturous it is to be stuck in time, bound by unbreakable chains, a sorry excuse for life, a stone edging it's way towards becoming a fossil. How agonizing it is to have everything that you want just a reach away, so close but never close enough. How do you choose between what you want, and what is right?

I had once feared death. Not anymore.

Love is so much worse.
