Rick pov

I was still angry from the walk in of seeing my son with Negan. Whatever they were doing in there together, made me wonder. When I starting walking to my house I looked at Michonne that sat on the chair on the porch. I walked up the stairway as she stared at me blankly. " Hey what are you doing here " I said holding each side of my waist concerned she stood up " we need to talk about Carl " I looked at the screen door and back at her " where is he " ?

Michonne pov

I wanted to say it. Tell him the truth about where he really was going ,but I couldn't break the trust me and Carl had. He was like my best friend and I treated him like my own son. I looked away to hide the lie " he went to scavenge for Negan " I said grabbing my sword from the back " I wanted to go with him, but I was afraid that you wouldn't know ". He shook his head and looked at me " no,no it's okay I'll go look for him he can't be far ". I walked up to him " I'll go too " he stared at me thinking about it and gave in.

I needed to go with Rick, I couldn't tell him a lie and let him wonder around knowing that he went to the sanctuary. Then, I thought of what Carl said to me yesterday. If it was true, that he did have love our enemy, I needed to tell Rick. Rick and me had walked to the gate and told Rosita to be in charge till we got back.

Rick pov

I had a bad feeling about Carl being out there. I knew I was hard on him before, but I didn't expect him to just leave whenever he wanted he was still my son. I just hope he was safe and not getting into any trouble.

*Back at the sanctuary*

Carl pov

Again, I was left in negan's room. He had talked to me about how I managed to get here and if anybody knew where I was. I told him nobody knew and I was completely alone. He smiled and said he was going to take care of some things and come straight back here. I hoped he wasn't going to go Alexandria if that was what he meant by " take care of things ".

I was laying on the bed looking at the ceiling still thinking about what I told Michonne and my dad would come back soon and know I wasn't there. If Michonne did tell him where I was and the secret I told her, my dad was going to get pissed. For now, all I can do was stay here and hope for the future.
