A Tale of a Princess

Coming Back

'Why is it that every time I see them my head aches?' I can't take it anymore!' Michiru thought to herself as she turned her attention upon hearing a knock on the hospital's room to her room.

"Who's there?" The door opened revealing a man in his early-forties, he had the same red hair as the two Mizuki brothers. After placing the flowers in a clean new vase, he stood beside the girl's bed and held out his hand as she took it for the handshake.

"Kaoru Hayama, pleasure to meet you again, Michiru" He said with a smile plastered on his face. The girl nodded but inside her heart, there was a stabbing pain from seeing the man in front of him.

"As I thought. You don't remember me, do you?" He lowered his head and made eye contact to the girl in front of him. Afterwards, he left the room after saying that he had something else to do. A couple of minutes after Kaoru left, soon came in Shirro who was looking glad to see her again after a couple of hours.

"Did something happen? Are you remembering now?" He made eye contact with the girls purple pair orbs staring directly at his pair of red orbs. He quickly looked to a different way, flustered as he was slowly blushing at her.

"I can only remember when I see a person's face..." The girl looked down, surprised by his sudden attitude towards her. The boy looked at her and flashed a huge smile towards her

"Well, at least you remember us!" With that the boy said his goodbye before returning home from the hospital.

[The Next Day]

There was a knock on her door, as the girl wondered who it was, because her friends were supposedly studying during this time of the day.

"Come in" The man he saw yesterday was back

"Do you remember me now?" The girl wondered for a bit and realized his face

[Michiru's Point-Of-View]

"Father"I said in English as I glared at the him. Father hugged me as a sign of happiness

"Where's Zange-nii and Natsu-nii?" I asked people also came up to me and also hugged me making it hard for me to breath.

After that I was finally released from the hospital because the doctor said..

"Since you remember some of your past you can be released. Come back if your having another attack and have your check-ups until you're fully recovered" The doctor then gave us a soft smile.

So, I started going back to school, this time as a second year. I was informed by my brothers that I was part of the student council. I was envied by the whole female population of school.

I also remembered when Minami-chan and Shirro-kun save me before when I passed by the path I was once pulled into.

Rio-kun and I starred at my favorite play, Romeo and Juliet, during the culture festival. Yamato-kun and Aikito-kun visited my class' cosplay cafe.

Rio-kun, Mine-chan, Zange-nii and Natsu-nii were with me during my stay in France. Even when I danced with all of them during the night of the festival.

"Hello Michiru, I haven't seen you since the hospital discharged you"W-What is he doing here?! "What are you doing here, father?" I glared at him because my brothers once told me to stay away from him and that I shouldn't get close to him at all. "Oi! What are you doing doing to her?!" Aikito-kun stood in front of me in a defensive matter.

[Third Person's POV]

"Why wouldn't I be here, Aikito? I AM the principal of this school anyway. So why wouldn't I be here?" Kaoru said. Aikito gritted his teeth and glared at him. "Leave her alone!" He exclaimed, as he continued to defend Michiru. "Fine, But, I will come back for my daughter. Aikito, this is farewell for now." Kaoru said as he disappeared from their view. After Kaoru has left, Aikito turned around to face Michiru "Are you okay?" He asked. Michiru nodded her head in response. "I am fine. Thank you for protecting me, Aikito-kun." The girl bowed while the boy turned his head to avoid meeting her gaze.

"H-Have you gotten all your memories back?" He asked as he softly scratched his neck while looking down at the girl. The girl replied with a shook of her head to both sides indicating a no as she looked at him straight in the eyes. Aikito blushed for a short while and put on a forceful smile. "Is that so? Well, I should be heading back now" He passed by her and ruffled her hair a little. Michiru stared at his retreating figure, not bothering about her messed up hair. She felt sadness in her heart. 'Were we close before..?' She asked herself.

"Oi~ Michiru-chan what happened?" Two boys called her, she looked at their approaching figure. Her brothers looked at her worriedly that something might have happened to their precious little sister.

"Zange-nii...Natsu-nii...I want to...remember everything..." Michiru broke into tears, the brothers approached and hugged her. A shock was felt in Michiru's body while the brothers let go of the hug and Zange grabbed onto her shoulders. She fainted as she landed on her borther's arms. "Zange! Let's bring her to the hospital!" Natsume exclaimed. They went to the hospital and after giving their precious sister to one of the nurses, they called all of her friends and also their mother, Yui. 

They all arrived at the hospital and waited for an hour or so, Michiru has woken up with all of her lost memories and current memories. They all opened the door and hugged her except for three of her friends. "I remember...everything..." Again, they all cried and hugged her. Kawai was standing by the door with a happy expression for Michiru and a guilty expression because he still thought that it was his fault. After muttering a small 'Congratulations' he walked out of the door into the hallway.

Shirro was standing beside her bed smiling ever so gently at her recovery. Aikito who was curios why Kawai left followed him quietly. 

[Kawai's POV]

I just left the room without even talking to her. What kind of friend am I? What's wrong with me? I'm glad she recovered her memories but... I still feel guilty about her memory loss. I started mumbling to myself "If... it wasn't for me...she could have been happier...I wish I never confessed my feelings for her..." I kept on mumbling as I walked I was walking down the hositals's wide hallway.

"Confessed to who exactly?"

"To Michiru-chan..." Huh? Who was I talking to? I turned around and spotted a smirking Aikito-san. "A-Aikito-san? D-Did you happen to hear what I just said?" I asked him but I already knew what his answer would be. "Yep~ So, you confessed to her despite you having a fiancee~" He looks irritated. Wait!! "H-How did you know about my fiancee?!"

"Hmm...So I was right. You were engaged,huh~?" He smirked at me. I-I can't believe it! I was played! By him! I glared at him even though I was completely smaller than him. I just passed by him intending to return to the room. He followed after me and now we're back at the room.
