.Jung Ho-seok ( Hangul : 정호석; Gwangju , February 18, 1994 ), better known by her stage name J-Hope (in Korean : 홉 홉 ), is a South Korean rapper , dancer and composer . He is a member of the k-pop group Bangtan Boys .
Personal life
J-Hope was born on February 18, 1994, in Gwangju , South Korea . He joined Big Hit and moved to Seoul in 2010. Before joining Big Hit, he auditioned for JYP along with Youngjae ( BAP ).In June 2012, he made a guest appearance on Jo Kwon's "I'm Da One" clip, along with Jungkook , Jin , V and Jimin . He was quite famous in the Gwangju underground and won several dance competitions before joining the BTS. he was also part of the NEURON dance group. His family consists of his parents and his older sister.
Career
On June 13, 2013, J-hope made his debut as a member of Bangtan Boys on Mnet M! Countdown with the track "No More Dream" from their debut album 2 Cool 4 Skool. He currently produces songs for the BTS along with Rap Monster and Suga .
