As Gwendolyn continued on she kept looking around to see if any trials or tests were there. Finally she arrived at a tall door that loomed over her. It wore an emerald, beetle crest. "Hmm" she wondered aloud as she studied the door. It was approximately 6 ft. tall and 5 ft. wide. There were spirals of design and transcript written in ancient times all over the gold embezzled entrance. Gwendolyn squinted as she read the ancient text that was written more poorly than her own. It said "To open this door open your eyes, you might be amazed what you find". The rest of the writing was to weathered to read so Gwendolyn sat down on a nearby stone to ponder the situation.
After awhile of thinking she decided to try to turn the beetle sideways. When she grasped the cold surface of the gold everything became blurry and she fell down, suddenly her surroundings changed into a gray, foggy tint. There were several people standing near the door.
A man in a white hat approached the door slowly and took out a small brush used for fossils and gently brushed it against the door. The emerald beetle started to glow faintly as the dust scattered off of it. Soon the light was blinding and a creaking sound radiated throughout the hallway. The man squinted and watched the door open before his eyes. "Fascinating," he muttered under his breath. Then he let out a few coughs as the dust settled and continued on.
Gwendolyn found herself exhausted from the vision and glanced around, making sure she was where she had been before. Her mind whirled with questions as she thought about the man and mumbled "Someone has been here before then... Well his exploration will help mine." Then she took out a small brush similar to that of the man in the vision and gently removed the dust. The exact thing happened, the beetle let out a faint glow that grew to a blinding ray and the door creaked open.
"Wow" Gwendolyn said, aghast by what had happened within the few moments she had been at the door. She entered the next chamber and looked around and saw many doors. All with a different color beetle embedded in them. They were in a row along the ancient wall. "What am I supposed to do?" she said in a puzzled tone. Gwendolyn looked around the small room. "Everything is going to become harder after this moment", she thought to herself. As she looked around she spotted a small section of the ground that glistened when she shined her torch near it. "A golden floor" she gasped, astonished by her find, "how strange." She then pulled out a small brush that she had used just a moment ago and brushed away the dirt that covered the golden brick.
Suddenly the floor fell from underneath Gwendolyn and she slipped into a dark slide-like tunnel that spat her out in a pitch black room. Her torch went out and she was left in the dark.
