In hallways filled with clear despair,
I hear their voices in my ears.
They're whispering a long lost plea
to escape a fate of misery.
I try to find the beings whom
seem trapped alone in this dark room.
I turn and blink away my stares.
I'm by myself with no one there.
Understanding seems to take the place,
of the confusion shown upon my face.
I shake my head and close my eyes.
My ears take in their piercing cries.
Their tales of life become so clear.
No longer can I stay locked in here.
Their sins lay out in front of me.
They're now the only thing I see.
My breath escapes my mouth in gasps.
I've fallen into all their traps.
I fight them off but it's in vain.
Now in this place I will remain.
My body's warmth begins to fade.
I've realized the mistake I've made.
My entrance to this sinful place,
has allowed them with my soul to take.
