Approaching the washroom doorway, Kalin glanced from right to left then walked casually into the hallway, sticking his thumbs into his jean pockets to prevent himself from biting on his hand. As a group of girls noticed him and waved, calling out to him he simply waved with three fingers, keeping his pinkie and ring finger bent, then shoved his hand back into the pocket; he adjusted his book-bag hanging from one shoulder and didn't stop walking to make eye contact until he reached his locker.

Kalin's POV:
I turned the dial of my lock and unpacked the few things that had been weighing down my book-bag.
"Sketch book, pen, calculator, text book annddd...."
I didn't say the last thing aloud for I felt no need to tell every person within a ten-foot radius of me that I was bringing a tiny camera to mathematics. Besides, I would only get asked questions..why are people so curious? That's exactly the thing that gets them harmed...or worse. A slight smile creeps onto my face as I begin to get lost in thought.

I'm snapped out of my state by hearing someone call my name, judging by the tone of voice it's...
"Heyy Kally Beaarr," a blonde haired girl with thick layers of makeup looks up at me with gooey sweet voice while all I can do is grimace at the nickname I've been given.
"Anna." I address her, "What would you like?"
"Well I think we all know what I'd like Kally." Anna smiles with white teeth as she traces a hand up my right arm and to my neck, pulling my head down to her level. I make eye contact with her and carefully move her hand from my neck, maintaining eye contact to tell her that I was being serious.
"Anna..I have math, I must get going." I must have been giving off an annoyed air because she began to look hurt and whimpered quietly.

"But Kallyy, you don't have to be so cold-hearted. You never want to have any fun with meee!"
I sighed and turned around. Anna knew how to make me feel guilty because she was right, I had told her that I'd go someplace with her at sometime and she wouldn't let me forget.

I turned around slightly, for I had started walking the opposite direction to where the nearest flight of stairs were located and her words make me look at her. I took the amount of steps that would render me right in front of her and stared into her face. Then after a couple moments had passed, I wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her close; I leaned down and pressed my forehead against hers, causing her face to go different shades of red.

"I-uhmm..h-happy birthday Kalin.." She managed to choke out the words in her shaking yet gooey sweet voice.

Oh. So that's what today is..my date of birth, ugh. That meant I'd have to interact with anyone that heard or already knew that I was turning sixteen today.

Third Person POV:

"Well," Kalin started, feeling like his day had been ruined, "see you around Anna.." He broke the semi-hug and frowned, spinning on his heel and heading up the stairs, leaving Anna to stand there. She was still frozen in place with a steaming red face but she was also disappointed by how Kalin had reacted to her remembering his birthday.
