"Hey sport, how's your mum?" The guy, Richard asks Jake

"I thinks she good, I haven't spoken to her in while." Jake says with a frown.

"Oh I see then, so what may I get you today?" Richard asks changing the subject.

"Well Richy, I need a long board for this one!" He points to me and I smile at him and pinch Jakes side for putting me in the center spotlight.

"He lost a bet" I tell Richard as an explanation for the long board.

"Not surprised this little bugger is shameful when it comes to competition. Especially when the competition involves a female!"Richard chuckles and it sounds like and older version of Jakes but a little off and Jakes is much better for my ears.

"Shut up Rick you don't even know about me!" Jake huffs but Richard just chuckles again

"So Hun what'll it be you can pick any it's on the house!" Richard offers

I let a small breath out and look around for the perfect long board. "If you don't find one we can always order it from the catalogue!" I hear Richard say in the background but I don't answer cause I just found the one. It has a waffle pattern all in black where my feet will be and on the bottom it's smooth and fresh white. "That won't be necessary I found one!" I yell back excitedly. I pull it off the rack and skip back to the counter.

"This one is defiantly the one!" I smile at Richard

"Okay than do you want a bag or would you like to ride it?" He says with a cheer

"Oh I'm going to ride it all day everywhere no need for bags!" Jake and Richard laugh like I said something funny but I don't care cause my long board is amazing and I love it and wow. Okay my day is complete, no actually my week is complete. I smile the whole time Jake and Richard are talking and don't pay attention. In the end Jake did give Richard $50 for the long board. The board was actually $150 but Richard wouldn't accept that. "You two have fun now!" "Bye Richard! Thank you!" I yell before the door shuts.

"I like him" I tell Jake

"Eww he's like 37" he replies while making a disgusted face

"Oh my gosh no, you know what I mean you little prude!" I pinch his side again and he laughs.

"What the hell is a prude?" He laughs at me

"I don't know, but it sounds like not a good thing...doesn't it?" "Yea I guess it does!" He chuckles

After we left Richards we went back to the ice cream place cause Jake never got any ice cream and he had no ride so he needed my skateboard. After we got both and we're walking out Aiden, the ice cream guy winked at me. Jake saw and just started yelling "NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!" So loud at him and we both started laughing when we where finally out on the sidewalk again.

"Well alright then."I said as we stopped laughing

After a few minutes of us just riding our boards in comfortable silence I speak up. "So what's up with those guys, the posse guys?"

"They're jocks and the popular kids at my high school, that's basically it." He replies while swaying back and forth on his board.

"Oh okay."

"What school do you go to?" He asks

"I didn't start yet since, well isn't today the last day of school for you guys?" I ask remembering this

"It was, yes it was...Today was the last day of school!" He looks at me and smiles

"Uh okay...yea so I didn't start I just finished school and came here and relaxed.
