11:43 amThere was a grafitti bridge that I was taking a picture of. It was unique because it told someone's story. It was a sad story but the way it was painted was very unique.
I began getting it from different angles when I got a phone call.
Me: London Brix.
??: Good afternoon Ms. Brix. How are you?
Me: Im hanging in there, and you?
??: Doing good. Thank you for asking. My name is Cat Grahm and I will be in charge of a upcoming fashion show in San Diego, California called The Cat Show. I've seen your work and you are amazing.
The Cat Grahm just told me that my work is amazing. That's my dream come true.
Cat Grahm was a high top photographer but she stopped taking pictures and switched careers to something dealing with fashion. I always admired her work and was a huge fan of hers.
Me: Oh thank you.
Cat: Yes, your welcome. I wanted to know if you'd be interested in taking some pictures for the show? You'll get backstage access of course and sit with me to enjoy the show.
Me: Im very interested but does it pay?
Cat: Of course it does. I will pay you twenty-thousand for every photo I use on my websight. You will also get credit for the pictures.
Oh hell yeah, Im taking this job.
Me: I'll do it, Mrs. Graham.
Cat: That's amazing. I feel like I should be thanking you. The show is in a week and a half. I will email you details in about two to three days.
We said our goodbyes and hung up. I looked around to see if anyone was looking before doing my happy dance.
I could not be more excited. Im like her biggest fan. I've got to twll Vera about this.
After finishing up my photos I got in my car and drove home excited. I pulled into the driveway and cut the engine. I got out and ran up to the house. I unlocked the door and went in screaming Franny's name. She quickly came down the steps with her gun.
Franny: What happened?
Me: Whoah baby, it just me.
Franny: Damn it babygirl. What I tell you about doing that.
Me: Not to do it but whatever. Guess what!?
Franny: What?
Me: The Cat Grahm wants me to take pictures of her upcoming fashion shows. I'll get backstage passes and sit with her to enjoy the show. Each picture she uses on her websight will pay twenty thousand. I said yes.
Franny: What? Baby thats amazing.
I laughed as she hugged me while spinning me around.
Me: I know right. She's going to email me in a few days with details.
Franny: Im so proud of you baby.
I smiled.
Me: Thanks babe.
We headed upstairs into our room and I put my camera up.
Franny: How about we go out to dinner tonight? My treat.
I smiled.
Me: Okay. Where?
Franny: Where you want.
