Imagine # 1

Nina handed the cab drive the crisp $20 dollar bill before bracing herself to step out into the cold December air.  She looked around to see the crowded pool of people swarming to get into First Avenue. The hottest club on the scene in Minneapolis. She had began walking to into the place and looking for Aiden her boyfriend. But didn't have any luck.  She decided to walk to an empty table and sit an wait for him.

Waitress: Good evening, Welcome to First Avenue can I get you a drink or an appetizer?

Nina: uh no thank you. Comeback in 5 minutes.

Waitress: okay.

She walked away.

Nina P.O.V

I swear he does this shit on purpose to piss me off. He better be here in the next 5 minutes.

(10 minutes later)

Waitress: Excuse me are you Nina Coleman?

Me: Yes.

Waitress: I have a note for you here and a drink.

She handed me the note and sat the drink an proceed walked away.

Me: Excuse me, I didn't order this drink.

Waitress: The guy over there had order it for you.

She pointed to a guy with his back to us. He was wearing a white blouse, black tight pants, white heels and a purple coat with a unique symbol on the back. I had raised an eyebrow. He had cute black curly hair. He seems really familiar.

Me: Tell him thanks. I need it.

Waitress: No problem.

I had picked up the note. It read

Sorry  Baby, I won't be able to make it tonight. This case I just got requires a lot of time. I will definitely make it up to you. Be safe getting home and call me when you get in.

Love, Aiden

This is 3rd time this week he has stood me up because of his stupid ass job. I'm tired of this shit. I'm gonna have thank that guy for buying me this drink. I had took the drink  to the head. I had looked back at the spot the guy was in to find him no longer sitting there. Well so much for thanking him. I had shook my head and rested my chin in the palm of my hand. This guy walked out with a mic and begun talking.

Guy: Give a special hand for this next performer. He's currently from this amazing state Minnesota. Give warm welcome for my man Prince and his band The Revolution.

Wait did he just say Prince? Not Prince Rogers Nelson. It's been years since I seen him.

He sat down in front of a piano and began playing along with his band. He parted his lips and began singing.

~Baby, baby, baby
What's it gonna be
Baby, baby, baby
Is it him or is it me?
Don't make me waste my time
Don't make me lose my mind baby~

I had realized that he was singing about a woman. He had his eyes on this woman. She was very tall and could possibly be a model. I wonder is that his girlfriend? He stood up and begun walking with the microphone. Then his eyes began to wonder throughout the audience.

  Baby, baby, baby
Can't you stay with me tonight
Oh baby, baby, baby
Don't my kisses please you right
You were so hard to find
The beautiful ones, they hurt you every time

His eyes finally connected with me. I hope he wasn't directing that verse towards me. I didn't mean to hurt him. It's true his kisses did please me.

Paint a perfect picture

Bring to life a vision in one's mindThe beautiful ones
Always smash the picture

Always every time

If I told you baby
That I was in love with you
Oh baby, baby, baby
If we got married
Would that be cool?

He smiled and bit his lip at me when he said that last verse.

You make me so confused
The beautiful ones
You always seem to lose

Baby, baby,
Baby, baby,
Baby, baby,
Baby,
What's it gonna be baby?

He pointed at me. I look down to see the girl he was starring at in the beginning of the song looking at me. She was very pretty but by the expression on her face I can tell she didn't like me.

  Do you want him?
Or do you want me?
Cause I want you
Said I want you
Tell me, babe
Do you want me?
I gotta know, I gotta know
Do you want me?
Baby, baby, baby

My jaw dropped. It's been 7 years since that incident and he's still in love with me.

  Listen to me

I may not know where I'm going (babe)I said I may not know what I needOne thing, one thing's for certain babyI know what I want, yeahAnd if it please you babyPlease you, babyI'm begging down on my kneesI want youYes I doBaby, baby, baby, babyI want you
This man literally dropped to his knees while starring at me. The women in the audience were going insane. He closed his eyes and laid down on the stage. The audience was touching and cheering. I had put my jacket on and grabbed my clutch rushing out the door. I had hailed for a cab. I got in and gave them the address to my mothers house.
