Cordelia was there, working and smiling to every client she attends until her gaze met mine.

I was next in the line "Hello Cordelia."

Her eyes winded with a surprise, I guess, she didn't expect me to remember her name, after all, it's been a year and, we were drunk, but I could see a hidden smile because of that.

"Hello, Kyle, why so formal and serious?" she shook her head and gave me a big smile "Well, what would you like to have for this morning?" She asked me without waiting for my answer.

"A small cup of coffee, please."
"Didn't know that you work here." I murmured the last sentence.

"That's because you don't come here often, and when you do, you come with your friend, and he's the one who is always buying you a drink." she said, my eyes winded, didn't know that she would hear it.

But, what she said was right, I was never in the line. Usually, I would look for a table while Tristan bought the drinks. Cordelia surprised me, never thought she could be so perceptive or, that she would remember me.

"Why you never spoke to me?" I asked.

"It's not like I can shout your name while I'm working."

"Well, I guess I will be in the line, next time."

She smiled "Then, I'll be waiting for the next time."

We were starring each other for a moment, and I could feel myself getting nervous. It's been a long time since I felt that way.

I was there, leaning on my locker with Lily and Tristan beside me. It was our first week of senior year, and we were already bored. But something caught our eyes.

There was a fight. Actually, it was a jock having fun with a nerd, the was a crowd laughing or saying bad things. It was another scenario of bullying. I smirked, this is going to be interesting.

I looked at my friends to see if they were thinking the same, but Lily seems to not care about what was happening, and Tristan in the other hand... He was uncomfortable with the situation.

Despite what was happening, someone caught my attention, she was far away but running like someone's life was in danger. Her eyes demonstrate that she was worried, and her body was saying that she was determined. Who is she? I never saw her, is she new in this school?

"ENOUGH!" she shouted to them and quickly turned down to see the guy who was lying on the floor "Are you okay? Let's go; you need to see the nurse."

The crowd was silent, everyone was shocked, me, the jocks, even Lily started to pay attention, but Cam, he was pissed, and he was the one who was hitting the nerd, but me, well, I was amused.

"What do you think you're doing, newbie? I guess you don't know who I am, no one, no one mess with me."

"I guess I will be the first."

Cam was clenching his fists; I knew what was going to happen, everyone knew what was going to happen, including her. But she was there, standing with no fear yet she surprised me with a smirk on her face.

"So, that's how you show your strength? Punching people who are weaker than you? What loser way... If you really want to show your power or how cool you are, you should try to beat people that are stronger than you. But I guess you are too coward for that."
