Over the years, people change.

I have had obsessions that I remember fondly that I don't do anymore. One of these interests was dance. I took jazz dance classes when I was four until I was fourteen, for a total of ten years. I only stopped because when I was in grade nine, my school put on a school-wide musical and I got in. It took a lot of time and effort outside of school hours to practice, and I got overwhelmed and confused between what was part of the dance routines for the jazz dance recital, and I didn't want to go back to dance.

I am still into performing, but in a different way. I have taken piano lessons since I was seven, and still am. I have confidence in my ability to play and find it fun. I've had the same teacher since I started and we are very close. I also have taken acting classes for most of my teenage years, mainly an Acting for Film class I've taken for two years now.

One thing I've had literally since I was born is an uncommon medical condition called Incontinentia Pigmenti, or IP. Basically it's a disorder that can affect your skin, teeth, eyesight, and motor control. It's rare and is something you're born with. I have been only mildly affected by these parts of the disorder, but it's also affected me by giving me seizures. I've had them my whole life and they don't happen often anymore, but they do interfere sometimes.

Most recently it has affected me because if you have a seizure while trying to get a driver's license you have to wait six months from your last seizure before you can actually drive. This means I have the knowledge part of driver's ed finished, but not the actual driving part. If all goes as planned I will be able to do the in-car part by the end of May.

IP has also affected my body and my abilities in physical activity. I took dance, but my left side of my body is a little bit weaker than my right, causing things such as balance to be hard for me in dance.

One hobby it should be obvious that I have is writing! I got into writing as a hobby when I was thirteen or so. I wrote a fanfiction that was a Power Rangers and Super Sentai crossover. It's really bad but I like it and keep it up on old websites because it's something I was proud of way back when. I'm now in a fandom called G/T and am sure that someday I'll look back at my stories on here with fond memories.

There are constants in life that will never change, like medical conditions you are born with. However, people also change and grow. No matter what, it's fun to look back at the people we once were, see who we are now, and imagine our future.
