There weren't ever many visitors coming into Stars Hollow, much less new residents, so if someone did move in, everyone made it their business to know just who they were. And by the time the Halden family moved their things into their new home, almost everyone knew exactly who the new, British family was, from their looks to their family tree to the type of socks they preferred.

Olivia Halden was especially someone of interest, especially to the Gilmore family. As she was the same age as Rory, Lorelai immediately sought the chance to get to know this new family, thinking another friend would be a good thing. However, both would quickly learn that they two girls, though they were the same in age, were from two totally different worlds.

this family is very uptight and not at all like the people in stars hollow, preferring to do quiet things and wear nice clothes and all that instead of the other citizens. you can create a reason why they came to america, but make it believable please!

also, if you've seen gilmore girls, you know why coffee is so important.
