They finished their hug after 5 minutes. "Thomas? Are you ok?" James asked concerned. "Do I look ok?" Thomas whimpered the tears choking him. James felt so bad. "Sally...she was something wasnt she " james said breaking the silence. "She was something yeah...my wife, my everything, a beautful woman. A beautiful woman with an awful disease that took her away from me". The tears pricked his eyes like hot pins, the tears soon flooded down his red cheeks. James looked down. "What was it?" Asked james. "What was what?" Asked thomas. "The thing that killed her" james muttered....

The apartment went silent. The silence was loud in Thomas' and James' ears. The silence rushed through them like a raging bull. "Breast cancer" thomas finally answered.

The room went silent again. There was no sound other then their faint breathing. "She found out a week or so after you and I lost touch, when we found out she had cancer we found out  she was in stage 3, as soon as we found out she started chemotherapy right away. She was doing so well and she managed to always be happy, even though she knew she was dying...after her first year the doctor said she had atleast 6 months to live...which made us happy and sad at the same time...we would spend the six months together with the kids and make the best of it....she died two weeks after the doctor told us the 'good news'..." thomas was full on sobbing whilst giving the details. James sat there, he was speechless, his mouth partially open and tears streaked down his face. "Thomas...im so sorry" james mumbled. "Its ok, there was nothing you could do about it". James gulped "Do you want me to stay the night?". Thomas nodded.

That night thomas lay awake in his bed staring at the ceiling. James knocked on Thomas' bedroom door. "Come on in" thomas said. James came in and smiled. He walked to Thomas' bed and kissed his cheek "Goodnight " James started to walk away. "No. Baby please stay?"
