Star Wars - The Untold Stories: Book 1

Introduction

Hi. My name is Harmony Duffle. I am force sensitive. This means that I am able to use the force. I am one of the first descendants of my family of Jedi. Well, secret Jedi that is. For many years now, my family and I have seen the downfall of the Republic. However, we have had no idea when it will come. We also have a lot to hide. But first let me take you back to when it all started with my mother.

Mother was 18. She knew much about the force. She was very strong with the force and was a Jedi. For those of you who don't know, the Jedi have a lot of rules. One of the hardest to follow is it is forbidden to form attachments. This includes making babies. My mother was in love with a man named John Duffle. They loved each other and wanted so much more than what they had. They wanted a child. They wanted me. However, with the whole attachment thing, it would be difficult. Late one night, my mother had a vision of a horrible fate. In the morning she went to speak with Master Yoda; a wise and powerful Jedi. She asked for permission to become a secret Jedi. This means her name and everything would be erased from the system. Master Yoda asked, "Why?". Mother said, "I can not say". So Master Yoda did the only thing he could do. He used the force and found the secret. He saw through the force that my mother could see and sense the future more clearly than most Jedi. He was startled by this for there were only legends of this ability. However, none had been seen by any human being. Or so the Jedi thought. Now knowing this, Master Yoda granted Mother's request. She would still remain loyal to the Jedi and go on many adventures for some time. With the weight of the rules off her solders, she would start a future generation of her own powers.

On the 25th of May, 8020, I came along. My father had died a few days before from a horrible attack. John Duffle was the senator for the planet Kepler Ade. Since there was no longer a senator a successor was needed. My father was a wonderful senator, so my mother was the perfect candidate. She was elected senator and served until the day she died May 5th, 8025. Anyway, enough with the sappy stuff. The real story begins on my birthday, year 8028.
