Chapter 2

(A/N Hope you enjoy!! This chapter is a little short)

Lucy POV:

Natsu, Happy and I were walking around the forest our job was to find a special plant that heals sickness.
We were also suppose to fight a giant monster that guards the plant.
Apparently, the monster was trained to keep out thieves because of how rare the plant is. It was doing fine for the last couple of weeks but then it started not letting the owners in. It kept saying it wanted to eat the plant to become stronger but the owners were trying to protect the monster because if you eat to much of the plant it becomes toxic.
We were at the sight and saw the giant monster. It was dark brown with a huge tail and long claws. It had blood red eyes and had scales all over it's body.

Natsu: Fire Dragon ROOAARR!!

Lucy: Open Gate of the Maiden!... Virgo!!

Virgo: What can I do for you princess?

Lucy: Help Natsu fight that monster. While I go get the plant.

Virgo: Yes princess

As I was walking I saw Happy trying to get the plant too.

Lucy: Happy!! Fly me to the plant!

Happy: Aye Sir!

Happy: Lucy your heavy.

Lucy: SHUT IT CAT

As I was gathering the plant with happy I saw the monster looking at him. Then he started running straight towards him. Shit, what am I gonna do? Fuck it! I grabbed Happy and pulled him close to me. While I was getting beat by the monster. All I felt was pain. Then everything turned black.

Natsu POV:

I saw Lucy getting beat up by the monster and it looked like she was holding something. First the monster slashed his claws across Lucy's stomach then throw her against the tree. Then he started punching Lucy on the stomach multiple times causing her to cough up blood.
I was so pissed of. I bet my whole body was on fire cause of my rage. I couldn't do anything because of a paralyzing magic the monster put on me.

When the paralyzing magic wore of I beat that monster to a pulp because he was throwing around Lucy like an old rag.

When I finished I ran to Lucy I saw terrible sight. She was all beat up and cut with blood every where and I could barely feel her pulse. She was also really pale.
When I opened her arms I saw a sobbing Happy. It all makes since. Lucy was protecting Happy. That why she wasn't fighting back.

Happy: The last thing I said to her was how heavy she was. *sob*

Natsu: And it's not going to be the last!! Lucy isn't going to die!!

I picked her up bridal style and started running to the guild. I didn't care if her blood was all over my shirt.

Natsu: You'll be fine Luce ... right?
