"What were you doing during class," Grandpa says and I raise my eyebrows.

"I hope you don't plan on losing focus on your studies. You know that your parents-," he said but I stopped him.

"I know Grandpa. I know what my parents did for me. I owe them everything. Don't worry about it," I say.

"I know, your a good kid. I was just checking with you," he said.

I gathered my books and stood up.

"I know, Grandpa. I know you just want what's best for me," I say before walking out of the class.

I walk to my locker where I see Josh, Eliza, and Elena standing by my locker.

I rubbed my eyes because they felt a bit watery.

I walked to my locker where Josh pounced on me, figuratively.

"What did Cory need to talk to you about," he asked and I sighed.

"Nothing. Just passing along a message from Dad," I lied. No one knew the truth and I didn't want them finding out.

"Are you guys related to Mr. Matthews," Elena asked and I nodded.

"He's my dad's close friend. They're like brothers and Daniels's Grandad," Josh elaborated.

"That must be interesting," Elena said. I noticed that when she smiled she always showed off her pearly white teeth. But the real beauty was in her lips. I wonder what it would be like to have her soft lips against m-. I was broken out of my thought process by the bell ringing.

"We should get to class. What's your next class," Joishua asked as him and Eliza held hands.

"English," Elena asks after looking at her time table.

"We have math but Daniel can take you. He has English now," Eliza says.

"If it's not a problem," Elena says before getting cut off by Josh.

"No problem. Have fun," Josh says and he winks at me before the two kid down the hall.

"After you," I say and she smiles before walking.
