Thunder roared as I Cantered across the frozen ground of the winter forest meadow. FrozenRain dashed at my side and with every step my wings ached and screamed as they started to appear on my back. Pain shot through my head as my horn started to come back to its place on my forehead. The hair that used to be on my hooves was now turning in to small little wings. Happiness flowed through me as I shot in to the beautiful sky. As soon as I knew I was safe I rested on the nearest cloud. FrozenRain rested on the cloud beside me. FrozenRain had black fur with a stripe down her snout and golden wings that now folded to her sides. She looked at me and whinnied with delight.
“Now that was an adventure was it not IceBreeze.” She asked as she unfolded his wings and before she could whinny a loud crashing came from underneath us. We looked at each other and with a screech we shot down to do something that would change our happy lives forever.
I stretched and yawned outside of my cave I looked back at my herd laying in the much too small cave. Then I walked out in to the cool misty morning air down to the small pond in front of the cave. I looked around something was defiantly wrong I felt as if something was watching me. I looked back at the cave. FrozenRain stretched her beautiful wings and walked over to me.
“Wow. Is this not the most beautiful pond ever?” She asked. She looked at me with a set of beautiful eyes. She shook her golden mane I love it when she does that. I love how the gold dust comes off of her mane and tail. She was so beautiful. Me on the other hand I am probably the handsomest Unicorn stallion there ever was. My mane and tail are an icy blue and my hooves are a cold white, and my fur is a snowy white with light gold wings. I looked back across the pond. I just could not shake the feeling that something was watching me some kind of hungry predator.
“What is wrong dear?” FrozenRain asked curiously. I looked at her.
“Well - .” A loud snarl interrupted me I looked over my shoulder. Then I saw the one thing I feared the most… a hellhound! I leapt through my fear and jumped at the ugly thing that threatened my herd. I almost got to the beast when it jumped to the side. Then I stopped and looked at it. The beast’s face started to turn into a familiar face. Once completely formed she looked at me and laughed.
“IceBreeze you are so easy to scare!” She said. It was Dylan. Dylan lived on a farm not to far from her. She comes and visits us every day. I nickered in return and walked over to her she had a soft touch. I lowered myself to the ground and flattened my wings and she got on. I reared up and leapt to the sky. I have to admit she is a good rider she holds onto my mane with a strong grip and sits on my back with a strong seat. I felt a strange connection with this girl she was the only human I have ever seen.
When we got back she kissed my nose, gave me a treat, and smiled.
“I love you IceBreeze. I will see you again tomorrow. I will miss you.” And with a sigh she left. The only joy I found in the day was when Dylan came to visit me. She was like a sister to me or a friend I have had since you were born. She understands me she loves me and she knows what I need and want.
“Well … how was your ride?” FrozenRain asked. I looked at her and smiled.
“Um… well… I guess it was… good?” I said awkwardly she looked confused. “What? Is something wrong? Was it something I said?” I asked her. She looked out over the pond with a dreamy look on her face. She seemed to be looking at something I looked over at the other side of the pond to see what she was looking at. When I thought I looked long enough there was a little movement on the other side of the pond. I felt a chill run down my spine as a big hairless monster stood up from behind the brambles on the other shore. Without looking at her I told her to run back to the cave and warn the others. As she ran to the cave I stood ready to fight.
The beast looked at me with its nasty yellow eyes and snarled. Them it did something that was not allowed to happen. Well I should probably tell you about the pond it has magical boundaries that separate good and evil. No one is to cross it for it is forbidden. Anyways the beast crossed this boundary and started to swim across the pond moving its still surface.
I screeched and ran back to the cave I stoped in front of the cave and ran at the beast with all my courage.
