"CHARLIE!!!"

Startled, I dropped all the books and papers I was holding. Great. I immediately turned to the direction where my name was called. A familiar blonde emerged from the hallway. Every person turned to her when she passed by, and gave her curious and worried looks.

"Charlie!" Tiffany shouted again.

I rolled my eyes at her. "Over here," I raised my hand.

Her puffy, watery eyes widened. Her mood quickly shifted from anxious to relieved. "Oh my god, there you are! I've been l-looking everywhere for y-you," she whined in between sobs.

I gave her a bored look. "What is it now?" I stood up after retrieving all my books and papers from the floor.

"It's M-Matthew," she choked in a sob.

Here we go.

"He... he... he broke up with me!" she cried. She pulled me in an embrace, causing me to drop my books, again.

I heaved a sigh, and patted her on the back. I thought of patting her a little harder than normal, so she'd wake up and realize how stupid she's been acting for the past 3 months, but decided against it.

"Can you believe it? He broke up with me, again! How more rude can he get?" Tiffany continued to tear up like a wild monkey, holding on to me like her life depended on it. The other people watching might have thought we were crazy. It was embarrassing!

I pulled away and looked into her eyes. "I've warned you so many times already, but you didn't listen, didn't you? And I believe this is your punishment for not listening to me," I stated with my arms crossed.

Her mouth dropped open, annoyance evident in her face. "I can not believe you're thinking about yourself right now. How can you be so selfish! I'm the one who got dumped here, not you! And, by the hottest guy in school!"

I frowned at her. "I'm not making this about me, okay? It's just that, I've tried to convince you numerous times already that he's just going to be a pain in the ass."

Tiffany was in a deep thought all of a sudden, pacing back and forth.

"Hello, earth to Tiffany? Are you still with me?" I questioned.

"What if I talk to him? What if I say sorry, do you think he'll take me back?" she inquired, looking like a lost, desperate puppy wanting to go back home to its owner.

It was my turn to drop my mouth. "Oh, for goodness' sake, no! You've been dumped twice already! And in only a span of two weeks! Come on, you're Tiffany Roberts, you're better than that."

She pouted. "Then what am I supposed to do? I can't be known as Baker High's soon-to-be homecoming queen, and also the girl who just got dumped twice by Baker High's soon-to-be homecoming king! It would ruin my reputation."

Good Lord, this girl's unbelievable. I took a deep breath. "Alright, alright, I'll figure out a way to help you and your reputation. But promise me you'll stay away from him, okay?"

"But - "

I narrowed my eyes at her. "No buts, missy. Now, go get your books and your butt to class."

Tiffany scowled at me, but before she got the chance to step away, another familiar blonde came walking to us.

"I know how we can get revenge on Mr. Soon-to-be homecoming king," she smirked.

Tiffany swiftly turned to her, seeming interested than ever. "I'm listening."

It was Jennifer Gomez, one of Mr. Soon-to-be-crushed-face homecoming king's ex-girlfriend. But what was she doing here? We didn't normally hang out with her. And why did she decide to show up minutes' right after Matthew broke up with Tiffany? I smell something fishy here. And I know for a fact that it's not coming from my lunchbox.

Jennifer looked from Tiffany to me, and gave me one of her famous smirks. I returned it with a confused face. Did she want something from me, or is there something on my face? It has to be my face.

Looking proudly and bitchy as ever, she strutted closer to me and whispered,

"Date Matthew Carter."
