To the girls who pulled my hair and laughed at me every chance they got.
I thank you. I learned how to stand up for myself when no one else would.
To the girl who bullied me and manipulated me to be her only friend.
I thank you. Because I now realize that I cannot let someone else control my actions.
To the people in my grade, who saw me year after year and yet wouldn't even say hello.
I thank you. I now have learned how the human mind thinks and that pressure from society normally reigns supreme.
To the people who were my best friends, until I left the school and you wouldn't even say hello.
I thank you. I have become wiser in choosing my friends and whom I spend my time with.
To the person I have spent all my life with, who rages with the intake of alchohol.
I thank you. You have shown me that just one bad choice can turn a good person sour.
Everyone who has ever called me names, bullied me, abused me, left me out in the cold;
I thank you. Because you have made me who I am, and I am still learning. You have made me stronger, braver, and kinder. You have made me a better person, and for that I love you.
This is me, thanking those who may have made a decision to mistreat me for whatever reason. This is me, letting go of the past and moving forward. This is me, sharing my love for those who have affected my life, and will continue to do so.
