Prologue

"Ate! Ate! Kung magiging superhero ka, sino o anong powers ang gusto mo?"

Napaisip naman ako sa sinabi ni Clyziah, my little sister.

"Why do you ask baby?" I asked her, siguro nilamon nanaman siya ng mga fairytale stories at fantasy na movies ang sistema niya. Kidding.

"eeehh sige na kasi ate! I already asked mom and dad, they want to be superman and superwoman so they can save the world" nakabusangot na turan nito.

"Hmm. I want to be like cupid" nakangiti kong sabi, mas lalo namang bumusangot ang mukha nito.

"That's odd, cupid is a male, is he even considered a hero? You want to be a boy?" nakangiwing sabi niya.

I laughed, silly little girl.

" I will be the female version of cupid then, and I choose him because I wanted to save those people who were suffering from heartbreaks" I told her smiling

"Hmm. I don't understand ate" napapaisip na sabi niya at parang iiyak na.

I cupped her face and kissed her forehead before staring at her beautiful blue eyes.

"You don't have to understand it now baby, someday when you grow up, you'll be able to understand what I said" then I hugged her. I sighed.

I hope she won't experience a painful heartbreak, I don't want to see those bright blue eyes become dull.

"Chaye! Cly! Come inside, the party is about to begin" sabay kaming napalingon sa tumawag sa amin pangalan at nakita na nagaantay saamin ni nanny Claire,

"Opo!" sabay naming sigaw saka nag-unahang tumakbo papasok.

I stopped from running abruptly when a sudden memory came into my mind.

I saw a man with a pair of grey eyes staring back at me...

"Chaye!" para naman akong nagising sa isang nakaka hipnotismo ngunit hindi kilalang ala-ala na iyon at itinuloy ang pag takbo papasok sa bahay.
