Chapter 17

Ethan pulled away from our kiss slowly and moved over to embrace me into his arms that were where I felt most comfortable. I could stay here forever.

"Hunter, I love you too" he said before pecking me one last time and intertwining our fingers to fit perfectly together like they always did. I lay my head on his shoulders as he rested his chin on my head as we both looked up to the moon.

"So does this mean I can call you mine again?" Ethan said removing his head off of mine to look me in the eye.

"Ethan you were always mine. I mean it when I say it and I mean it when I say I genuinely love you." I said making eye contact with him again. I poured my heart out to this boy and it felt right. It felt amazing. He made me feel like anything and everything was possible. He made me feel like I had a purpose and I was special.

"Ethan there is something you should know about me" I said with my eyes full of worry because I knew I had to tell him now, I was ready to and I knew he needed to know.
He nodded for me to continue.

I told him everything. I told him how young I was when he was diagnosed and how he was my best friend and the bad depression I slipped into when he was gone. I even told him what my brother had told me the night he died and I had never ever told anyone that before. It felt right. Ethan was the light in my life. I was scared moving to LA with a past behind me and my family I felt bad for leaving behind with no children at home to worry over.
To finish off my story to ethan who paid attention the whole time made me feel like I could see the future I wanted ahead of me.
Marriage,kids,a family.
"My life was a mess ethan, I felt like I wanted to die and everything was bad in my life...
And then, I met you..."

He looked up into my eyes lost for words. He gently pecked my forehead and bring me into his lap while his hands lay delicately on my hips. This is just what I needed.
Love.

It was now 1 am and we were enjoying ourselves while catching up and fooling around a bit while doing so.
But, nothing good ever lasts.

"Hunter, what about tour? I'm not holding you back from going on tour but I don't want to loose you again." He said slowly as the fun mood we were in prior to this had vanished.

"Im calling Lauren right now to tell her you are coming whether she likes it or not, then we can go to New York and be back in La just in time for Christmas" I said whipping my phone out dialing Lauren's number not really caring what the time was.

It rang a few times before she picked up the phone like she has just woken up.

"H-hello?" Lauren said sounding drowsy.
" listen Lauren, is sorry to wake you up but ethan and I just got back together and I refuse to let go again without him." I said trying to keep my cool.

Lauren sounded more awake after that statement and what her response was made every single inch of my blood boil.

"Oh hunter sweety, you know ethan is bad for your image and anyways we found you a boyfriend with whom will give you great publicity, he is much better than that boy toy of yours. You will come on tour without him and that's tha-"

I was furious now.
"You know what Lauren, no I will not go on tour and I will not date another boy for my image. I don't want you bossing me around and I don't want to be in this business anymore! I'm fed up with you guys telling me what to do. I want out of this tour and I want out of it now and you know damn well I can arrange it and you will be fired" I said almost growling at her. I was fed up with this business and I could see ethan become worried from the side lines.

Lauren sighs..
" I'll tell you what, do your show in New York and then only one more in Los Angeles to end the tour, after that you can choose what you want to do with your career. And I guess you can bring the boy with to New York but don't let anyone see you" she said almost spitting at me.

"Better." I said
I hung up straight after that. Ethan looked like he was smacked in the face.

"Hunter, you can't give up your tour for me, this is your dream!" He said rushing over trying to calm me down.

"Actually E, I decided a while back that this isn't what I want to do. I wanna be able to go out with friends and let lose and have fun without being harassed and I know it won't be the same like it used to but ethan, I don't wanna do this anymore... I want a family and I want to be with you. This is what I want. I'm sure of it." I said embracing him in a hug while giving him a peck to let him know this is surely and purely what I wanted.

"Well than, we have 1 week before we fly out to New York, ill even take you to New Jersey to meet my family if you'd like? And you can bring dani since her and Grayson are kinda dating now.."

"They what!!!" I shouted hoping I wouldn't wake anyone up.

"He asked her out this afternoon and was going to tell you tomorrow but I can't keep secrets from the one I love. And just between me and you, we definitely the better couple" he said smiling behind me while grabbing my waist and kissed my cheek as we looked up into the moonlight.

"I love you princess" he said as a shiver slowly rolled down my spine. We could see a shooting start in the distance and right then and there I knew who was behind it.
