"... will you marry me?" 

with tears flowing down the girl's face , she answered , "yes of course ! i will marry you ! i love you !" 

the boy who was kneeling stood up , hugged his girl and twirled her around , "i love you too" 

scenes like this was never new to me , a salesman in a jewelry shop . every week , at least twice or thrice , boys would go down in one knee , pop the question and the girls will say yes . it has always been like that ever since . honestly happy, i am always happy for the couples but deep inside of me , i am kinda waiting for someone to say no , you know , for a change , for drama . 

" congratulations ! " , i said with a soft smile . the two couples of course ignored me , too busy hugging each other , too busy being in love . 

with my cheeks hurting , i still smiled at them and waited for them to let go of each other . i would leave them but the boy still hasn't settled his payment and i don't want to intervene with them so i have no choice to watch such beautiful moment .

after a minute of sobbing and hugging , they finally let go and settled the payment .

"congratulations again !" , i said as they exit the shop and as usual , they ignored me .

"how many proposal for this week?" , my friend and co-worker mingyu who was putting back some bracelets in the glass , asked . 

mingyu has been my friend ever since , even before we worked here . we're actually roommates . its funny how we both never planned to apply at this shop , both of us never talked about getting a job or getting accepted ,  it just came that when it was already our first day , we were both shocked to see each other's faces . we're friends , but not close enough to be best friends , despite the years together . that's them and wonwoo , our neighbor- they're the ones who are best friends ... or boyfriends . 

i shrugged as i put back the rings  that the lover boy from an hour ago chose from , " three i think?" 

mingyu hummed as a response . 

after fixing the rings, i fixed my suit and basically stared at nothing .  being a jewelry store sales man can be very boring , if i have to be honest . its not like people always buy jewelry everyday . if there's no customer or client's coming in , you're just basically wasting your energy standing up and staring at every corner of the room . well , at least i get paid . 

"hey josh, do you want to go this coffee shop after work?", mingyu who is now cleaning other batch of bracelets , asked . 

i shook my head and smiled, "no thanks man. i'd rather sleep" 

"aye , your life has always been like that, wake up , eat , go to work , eat , sleep! isn't it boring? its just the same routine everyday! take time in doing another thing", mingyu complained . 

"i don't think my heart would be able to manage such excitement if i do other things aside from my usual routine. so yeah, i have to live through this boring life" , i shrugged at him. 

mingyu playfully rolled his eyes, "you are just being so dramatic" 

"i'm not, its true" , i said to him but he wasn't able to hear it because his attention and gaze was turned to the customer entering . "hello! welcome!", mingyu cheerfully greeted. 

i looked at the customer and smiled as i nodded at him , "what can we assist you with?" 

another customer entered and the customer we're talking to frantically looked at the door . a sense of worry in his aura. he looked back at me , took a deep breathe and said, "a ring please uhm show me the best ring this shop has" 

i nodded at him. as i get the rings from the table glass, i took a quick glance at him. the boy looks pale , he looks tired like he has been running, his bangs is all over his face but he still nevertheless looks so good . 

i showed him two boxes of rings and opened them , showing two rings . the first ring consist of small little diamonds around it and the second ring consist of one large diamond on top. i smiled , "these two is the owner's personal favorite! it-" 

he quickly pointed the second ring , "i'll get this ring . i'll take it" , he said without any doubts . 

i was honestly taken back but its the customer's decision , i have no right to interfere . i nodded , "good choice sir , i'll quickly wrap it up!" , i took some ribbons and a small paper bag below and prepared to wrap the box. 

"who is it for, sir?" i asked, and suddenly the shop door opened and two men in dark suits came in. 

"welcome!", mingyu who was busy talking to his customer said. 

the customer took a deep breathe and looked at me in the eye, "look , this is going to be crazy but please trust me on this" , he said quickly said. 

i raised an eyebrow at him , quite surprised at what this good looking customer said, "what?" 

"just trust me" , he grabbed the ring box from my grasp and pulled me out of my booth, so we're now facing each other. 

"s-sir , i don't think you-" 

"yoon jeonghan! explain-" , one of the dark suit men shouted. 

and just like that , he knelt in front of me , showed me the ring and asked with twinkling eyes , "will you marry me?"
