Chapter 3

" Dad where are we going?" I asked him for the tenth time! We were going to get new bed set for my bed duh and I didn't know what store he was taking me to. It was only me and him since mom stayed home. When I told her to come she said no , I figured since dad was taking me she didn't want to come.

" Kayla were going to Jcpenny if we don't find anything there we will go somewhere else."

I nodded and looked out the window. Jcpenny out of all the places he chose Jcpenny! What a bummer. When we finally arrived at Jcpenny I ended hating each bed set.

" how about belk?" I asked my dad while licking my ice cream cone he bought me.

" okay let's go" he said as he walked out of Jcpenny.

" have a nice night!" The lady at the door said. Pshh it would have been a nice night if your store sold good bed sets.

We walked into belk and found our way to the area well they sell all the furniture and bed stuff. I looked at each one but each one earned my disapproval, that is until I stopped infront of a gorgeous bed set. It was pink and blue. Half of it was bright pink while the other half was navy blue with pink fishes on it. It was stunning! I gasped. Finally a bed set that I liked!!!

" dad dad this one this one!" I yelled out to my father who was looking at a ugly bed set. Ha he thought he was gonna buy me that . He walked over and looked at what I was pointing at.

" is it a queen?" He asked as he observed it.

" mhm... Oooo can you buy me the pink pillow that comes with it. Oh and the trash can! Oh please. Oo and-" I was interrupted by his cough.

" how much does it cost?" I looked at the price tag to answer my dads questions. There was nothing on it. Nada nope no. I couldent find the price!

" idk let me ask the lady" I walked over to the lady who seemed to be Quite intrested in her watch.

" excuse me. Can I know how much this cost?" I said as I handed her the bed set and the pink pillow.

" why yes" she said as she scanned the price tag.

" 331 dollers plus tax." She said even louder as my dad approached us. I gulped that was a lot of money.

" if you have a belk card you can save 20%" she said noticing my frown.

" does your mom have a belk card?" My dad asked me.

" uh let me check" I pulled out my phone and called my mom praying she had a belk card.

" no" I tell my dad as I hang up.

" well... Umm maybe we can find cheaper ones in another store. If we don't ... Then we will come back for it." He told me a apologizing smile forming on his face.

" well we close at 10 so you have plenty of time!" The lady smiled at me. I smiled back and walked to the front entrance. My dad followed me and we rode to the next store in silence.

" dad can we just go home?" I asked him after the 5th store. Honestly I was tired and had school tomorrow.

" sure" he said.

I forced a smile at him and the layed my head against the window as I fell asleep.

" wake up" my dad said as he was shaking me. Startled I jumped up.

" were home.." When my dad said that I became aware of the garage lights. I stepped out of the car and walked to the front door. When I walked in I found my mom sitting on the couch watching tv.

" hey mom" I said as I sat next to her.

" hey did you find your bed set?"

" no ... One was to expensive so we looked for more but I got tired."

" of course there expensive! Your father thinks there not? Well maybe he now knows how it feels to buy stuff for you since he never did." She shocked me. I looked at her for a while and then headed to my room. My dad did buy me stuff in fact he bought me half of the stuff I had! I don't know what she was talking about. I slid into my covers and checked my kik messanger. I had a message from an unknown contact.

jake11- hey

Who was this " jake11" ? I clicked on his picture and almost chocked when I saw the picture. It was the guy from biscutville. How did he get my kik? I almost screamed but I controlled myself. I decided to answer.

Kayla44- hey.. Who is this?

jake11- biscutvillle guy (;

Kayla44- how did you get my kik? Lol

I added an lol to be safe. I didn't want to scare off the poor guy.

Jake11- your instgram. I follow you, that's why I kept starring at you to make sure it was you. I'm not weird.

Kayla44- ohh.. Well nice to meet you ... Jake?

Jake11- yeah jake. Same to you Kayla (:

Kayla44- I have to go... Bye

Jake11- ttyl?

Kayla44- sure ..

Jake11- okay bye (;

I was very freaked out for many reasons. One- he followed me on instgram. Two- he stalked me and got my kik. Three- those winky faces made me tingle inside. I laughed at myself.

I walked out of the room and noticed my dad in the living room. My mom must have been in her room. I really needed to think of a plan. I couldent stand this much longer.

" goodnight dad" I said as I kissed him on the cheek. He said goodnight to me and watched me as I walked to his room. ( both there rooms)

" goodnight mom" I said as she as well kissed me on the cheek.

" sleep well" she smiled at me and I walked out as I was thinking of ways to get the two most important people in the world to me, come together and talk. So these parents that I loved with all my heart Wouldent be in silence forever.
