It started innocently enough. It was movie night and the boys were arguing over what movie to watch. Since Hoseok lost rock, paper, scissors earlier, he had no vote in the matter. He secretly hoped it would be a romantic comedy where he could shed a quiet, happy tear when the mismatched couple (which wouldn't work out in reality) realizes that anything and everything could be sacrificed for the name of love and getting laid. He would then get a good night's sleep with the afterglow of love eloping him. But no, the whole world always conspires against him, especially the 6 he ended up being family with. "Let's screw with Hobbie" is a favourite past time for the bulletproof cookie scouts, sadly not in a literal sense. The final two fighting for the coveted prize of "Choose your movie whilst other's mind their own business" were : Jungkookie, a horror junkie finding for a movie that could finally stop his beating heart from fear and Taetae, an adrenaline junkie who prefers bald men and shiny fast cars. Personally, Hoseok could live with any genre of movie, except horror. There was something definitely wrong with vengeful spirits whose death has made them forget that hair is meant to be combed back and not the other way around. Kookie has a habit of choosing movies that are usually based on true stories or urban legends, in other words, spirits that are very likely to exist and haunt your ass. He doesn't like a horror movie that is purely made up, saying that it's impossible for anyone to be afraid of something that is 100% fictional. Obviously, Kookie does not know Jung Hoseok, a person who very efficiently is afraid of anything and definitely, everything. Hoseok wished Taetae would win but as predicted, whatever higher power in existence also seemed to like playing "Let's screw with Hobbie" very much. Taetae didn't look the least bit disappointed; in fact, he currently was looking through movie trailers to help Kookie choose the best horror movie of 2017. How delightful that the only time those two highly competitive, insanely energetic puppy hybrids band together is when Hoseok's sanity and fragile heart was on the line.

Usually none of them even cares about the movie that would be playing every weekend. Jin established Movie Night as a way of having the boys spend some quality time together in an environment that wasn't sweaty, tiring, or crowded. Customarily, Yoongi would be the first to fall asleep against Namjoon's chest with his legs folded neatly against his stomach, snoring quietly as Namjoon has his arm resting on the paler boy's waist. Namjoon is also the one to carry Yoongi to bed after the movie as Jin would be busy putting the little ones to sleep, with a sleepy Hoseok tagging along. Next, Jiminie would fall asleep in between Jin's legs, head lolling sideways until finally he finds a comfortable place to rest it, mostly on Jin's inner thighs as he finds the warmth comforting. Jin never complains about the inappropriateness of it all cause well, it never occurred to him. Jin excludes such a strong maternal aura that anything the boys want or do is considered harmless, innocent in his eyes, unless they physically make a move on him, in this case, grabbing his crotch as a practical joke only to have Jin flick your ears so hard that it hurts for a week. Taetae wasn't able to sleep on his right side till the swelling went down. If neither Jungkook nor Namjoon find the movie interesting, they would eventually end up on their phones; with the former reading an interesting article while the latter playing games. In the end it was always Tae, himself and Jin that ends up watching the movie till its bitter conclusion. However, most of the time, Hoseok suspects that Jin's mind was never in the movie to begin with, making no difference whether he watches it or not. But today; today was different. There was a strange buzz of excitement emitting from each and every one of them, with the exception of Hoseok. Apparently, the movie that Jungkook and Tae had selected was one of the most underrated, mind fuck gory movie around. It wasn't scary per se, but it was disturbing in a way that would sit uncomfortably in the pit of your gut, unable to shake off the feeling of apprehension slowly eloping you. Yupp, Hoseok was royally screwed this evening. "So, Jungkook-ah, what's the movie called?" Hoseok called out, putting on a fake mask of bravado, wishing the light queer of his voice went unnoticed. "All Hallow's Eve." Jungkook replied, smiling brightly; his two bunny tooth sticking out adorably behind his pink lips. Normally, looking at the maknae smile would make Hoseok's stomach fill with nervous butterflies flying about in confusion, butting heads. Today, all Hoseok wanted to do was throw up.
