July

Willow's P.O.V.

July 4th

You would think that after the boys got kicked out of the house of blues they would stop making music. Definitely not, they practiced and wrote more songs than before. Matt kept telling everyone they were going to start recording an album soon. I was pretty stoked to hear their album. The days went by fast as The Fourth of July came upon us. Brian and I had texted a few times since the kiss but nothing major. Tori told me we were going to have everyone here tonight to have a barbecue and shoot off fireworks. Matt and Jimmy were already over helping set up everything with Tori. Elektra and I decided to go to the mall to get some new swimsuits before the guys got over there. I picked a simple black bikini while Elektra picked a complicated one. When we got back Brian, Zacky, Johnny, and a few others had just arrived with the alcohol. Elektra brought me a drink over as Brian sat across from us with a cup in his hand. "While I have this small window of opportunity, would you mind coming with me for my parents birthday dinner their having at my house the 7th? Of course we're going to do something after and everyone's invited.. I just want you to be there too.." I nodded biting the inside of my lip. "Sure Bri-" "oh oh there now!" Elektra said sitting down beside me. "Brian were you asking my best friend on a date? Cause that sure didn't sound like one." Brian rolled his eyes, "I was asking her to come to my parents the 7th actually Ele. It was nice talking to you but I think I hear Tori calling me." Brian said as he dashed off away from Elektra. "That sneaky basturd. Anyway, what'd he say?" She asked me giving me her full undivided attention. "Well if you must know Brian wants me to be at his parents that night for his birthday dinner. He said of course everyone was invited but he wanted me to be there too." She nudged me, "you don't think that's an invitation to hangout with him? Come on W, explore. Your freshly single and a summer fling couldn't hurt. That's how I feel about Zacky if it ever starts up." I laughed shoving her, "I'll figure out what I want to do later." I told her as we took a drink from our cups.

July 7th

Elektra and I went shopping her clothes to wear out later after Brian's parents. I was pretty nervous to meet Brian's parents. Elektra ended up coming with me over there too since Tori didn't ride with us. As soon as we pulled up there was a few cars. I took a few deep breaths before we walked inside. An older man who looked exactly like Brian was standing at the door. He smiled at Electra and me then Brian was at his side. "Hey Willow, hey Elektra." Brian said to the both of us, "oh your Tori's sister?" The man asked me and I nodded. "Yeah I'm his little sister Willow and this is my friend Elektra. It's nice to meet you," I stuck my hand out for him to shake it and he did. "Its a pleasure to meet one of Brian's friends. Im his dad Brian Sr." I smiled back at him as he took us to the kitchen where all the food was. There was a woman standing there next to the stove. "This is my wife Suzy and this gorgeous thing right here is McKenna. Brian's little sister," Suzy had a baby girl wrapped around her legs as she finished cooking. "Hey dad I'm here, hey Bri." Another guy who looked like Brian ended up walking through the kitchen too. "Oh and this is my other son Brent. Brent this is Willow Miller, Tori's sister." Brent extended his hand and shook mine. "Nice to meet you and McKenna is too cute." I told Brian Sr, "thank you we appreciate it." Brian came over to stand next to me, "come on dinners about to be served then we're going to go to the beach for a bonfire." I smiled at Brian and let him led us to the table. Suzy made tacos and whatever else Brian asked for. It was literally just every kind of food you can think of it was here. Once everyone got stuffed I drove back to the house to drop my car off. Brian came to pick us up in his old black car. When we got to the beach the bonfire was already started and beer was everywhere. Brian went to get me a beer. Elektra disappeared once again leaving Brian and I together. We looked out at the water what seemed like hours before he said anything. "You know I really do like you Willow." I nodded slowly, "I know Brian." Brian put his hand on top of mine making my heart beat fast. Brian was blushing which made me feel a little bit better about this. "I want to kiss you and hold you and everything else but your my best friends sister..." I nodded feeling the reality hit me, "I know Brian..." Brian tilted my head to look at him. "But that doesn't mean I'm not going to try Willow. I'm going to ask Tori tomorrow then I'll take you on a date. Here," he wrote his number on the palm of my hand. "Call me within the next few days and I'll tell you what Tori said." I nodded leaning into Brian, "I'll be waiting on you Haner."
