The trip up north wasn't too irritating. In fact it was very enjoyable. The long run helped me to clear my head. Whenever I got a whiff of Taylors scent, I could feel myself starting to go mad with lust. You realize I don't want her. Taylor is not my taste for a mate. You only want her because she's rejected you before and she'd rather have a stranger in her home than a lowly beast like you. My demon said. I could feel a smirk pulling at his lips. Well at least I will be able to get some action, where as you will never be able to. I retorted, my face crinkled in disgust with him. He only thought about chasing tail when I let him out, which is why I rarely did. The last time I had I remembered waking up in bed with four different women? Yeah, four. Their cheap perfume scent littered the tacky motel room along with their clothes and underwear, and several used condoms strewn about on the floor, in the bathroom, and on the furniture.

I was glad he'd at least had the sense to use protection. I immediately became sick with the thought that I had shared such a sensual evening with cheap whores. I left the motel room in a rush, putting on my clothes as I left. You couldn't keep it in your pants could you? I had snarled at my demon. I could hear him chuckle, a thick tiredness layered under his actual voice. You enjoyed it too ya know. You kept moaning and you just couldn't get enough. In fact if I'm not mistaken, you kept trying to break loose and were trying not to allow me to enjoy myself with those women. My demon hissed and then chuckled again. Now, if you don't mind, I am trying to get some rest.My demon said and then was quiet. I rolled my eyes and snorted. "Yeah you think I enjoyed it." I said, my words dripping with disdain.

My head snapped up from the thought of that distasteful memory. I shuddered, but kept my eyes on the gray wolf as he passed into the northern territory. I could see two or three lone wolves closing in on him in all different directions. Smirking I watched on, wanting to see his blood get spilt and to watch him die. The gray wolf stood at attention, his ears swiveling in all directions. The sooner this whelp died the better! Then Taylor would be mine once and for all and I would gladly fight for her affections. Even though my demon didn't want her, it was like we were two completely separate beings, what I did drove him crazy, what he did, drove me crazy. It was like the crazy circle of life! I sniffed the air as the wolves closed in on the gray wolf; my eyes were going crazy with blood lust as I watched them enter the clearing where he was at. The sound reached my ears before the sight of his bodies reaction to the wolves did.

The gray wolf didn't take a submissive posture, he held his tail high over his back and he pushed his ears forward, while holding a snarl on his maw. The others closed quickly and slowly attacked, trying to take him down, each one having their own turn to try and take him out. I was impressed he was still standing several minutes into the fight. But then something registered. Gray looked like an alpha, and the three wolves were slowly backing away from him, whimpering. He didn't have a threatening posture, in fact it was friendly. Why was it friendly? I watched as the three wolves seemed to come to ease around him. Was he the long lost alpha? No one had heard from the Alpha of the Newfin pack in a number of years. Why would he choose to return now?

I looked closer at the wolves, still cowering away from him. The wolves were barely skin and bone, they looked like rabid dogs that ran the streets of New York, no owner and no home. In fact they were probably infested with fleas and ticks just like those rabid animals. I shuddered at thinking about something giving me a disease and crawling in my fur. Gross! I tilted my head as the gray wolf barked something to the three, which sent them running. I know you're there. I could smell you from when I left the Alpha's house; I saw you before you got up this morning. Come down here. He said into my head. I couldn't believe he'd caught me. I was sure I'd stayed downwind from him the whole time. How had he caught me?

I leapt out of the tree and changed into my demon form. I wasn't the largest male wolf, in fact I was quite small. I didn't mind though, I was a good fighter, and tough. My Blackish fur stood on end as I came into the clearing. My silvery blue eyes scanned the scene as I crossed the clearing towards him. So tell me, why were you following me, and even more important. Why were you stalking the Alpha's house? Gray asked. Because the daughter means a great deal to me. I offered involuntarily. She means a great deal to me as well. I need someone with strong blood lines to help me rule my pack. I've never had a mate before, and she's the daughter of an Alpha. Mating with her would work wonders for our kind. Gray said staring up into the stars. Well if you intend to mate with her, you'll find yourself in company of competition. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have business elsewhere. I said and then proceeded to scurry off into the dark woods. It already appeared that Taylor was fancying this very brazen wolf. Whatever would she see in a wolf like him?
