"Get away, Go, Leave," I screamed at my over protective mother who has been trying to smother me ever since I moved out of her house to take a job offer as pharmacist technician. She invited herself over and just walked into my apartment, "Mom, leave," I shouted at her, My face was a tomato. "You can't just come in here whenever you want, I gave you that key in case of an emergency not for you just to intrude on me."

"Charlotte Ann Stinson, I am your mother, I birthed you, at least you can just welcome your mother into your house," She shouted back at me.

"You use that excuse way too often, Charlotte I birthed you at least you can make me breakfast, At least you can walk 5 miles and get my car out of the impound lot and bail my car out of there, At least you can give me your Eminem ticket to that concert you worked double shift to get."

"I really like Eminem ok." she said back

"What's your favorite song by him the."

"Hot Line Bling," She answered.

"That's Drake."

"Is he the one who is going to run for president?"

"No, mom, that is beside the point. I am your mother is not an excuse, Now give me my key back and leave my apartment with that cassarole before I call the police."

She put the the key in my hand angrily "You are so ungrateful for all you have," she said as I held the door open for her.

"You meen all the things that I worked, on my own, to get, Yeah I'm super ungrateful for all my hard work." I said being the biggest smartass I could be in the moment.

She left my apartment. I set the key in my key dish in my kitchen then, I quickly looked out my front window and she was by her car and about to drive away. "Shane, you're good now," I say to shane hiding in my bedroom closet. Shane was my boyfriend. He was in my closet because when my mom barged in my apartment it was the morning and we were in my bed naked sleeping. He had to hide in the closet so my mother did not see him in all of his glory and I just put my robe on.

Now that I think of it, it would have been so much funnier if he just came out there naked. That would have gotten her out so much faster or, she would have asked him what his net. worth is.

Shane quickly put his clothes on and came out into the kitchen where I was. "When am I going to officially meet that lovely lady? Next week, next month?"

"Try uh... never," I said to him.

"Why not? She seems great," he responded sarcastically leaning over my kitchen counter talking to me on the other side.

"Because I don't necessarily like her," I told him. "All of my childhood she didn't care about dance recitals or even signing me up for any of that shit. All she cared about was what the new Prada bag looked like and where she could get it," I said mocking her. "That's why my dad is so important to me now and then."

"Ok then, what about meeting your dad." he said looking at me with a nervous expression covering my face.

"Do you wanna go get breakfast somewhere?" I said trying to change the subject as fast as I could.

"Charlie we have been dating for 4 months, how have I not met anyone in your family?" he asked.

"I don't know?" I said, "But I do know that mickeys has great breakfast, let's go."

"Fine, but only if next saturday we meet your dad for lunch or something."

"I don't know he might have work," I said.
