You sat quietly on the couch, your mind not even focused on the drama playing on the tv. It was getting late for Taemin to come home and you were getting worried. You scratched behind your dog's ear, his tail wagging and his mind not bothered by his gather's absence. You absentmindedly chewed on your bottom lip, your eyes searching for the clock on top of the television. The neon red numbers read 2:15 am and you squinted into the darkness at the harshness of the light on the television. You got up and began walking towards the kitchen to make some hot chocolate to keep you awake when you heard the apartment's passcode lock sliding up and beeping in numbers. You stopped walking and your little puppy, still learning about new things in the world, scooted over to the door and began his (ferocious) barking. Soon, Taemin was putting a foot inside your shared apartment, your dog jumping shamelessly at his father, wanting attention. "Babe! You're home!" You said, quickly walking over to him and sliding your arms up his muscular arms, going around his neck. You gave him a welcome home kiss on his jaw and then leaned back, seeing that something seemed off. "Is everything okay?" You asked. "Yea, uhm. Just, today wasn't the best day at work." He replied. You frowned and pulled him closer, your head leaning on his chest. He wasn't hugging you back and he had not kissed you since coming home. You were worried to say the least, since he normally couldn't keep his hands and lips off of you. You pulled away and looked up at him, his dark eyes looking distracted and confused. "Go get ready for bed, baby. I'll be in bed." You said with a smile. He nodded and walked away towards your shared room, your excited puppy following after him.

You laid in bed, reading one of your favourite recent novels. You heard the shower turn off and then not a minute later Taemin emerged with a towel around his waist as he came in search of some clothes. You followed his movements closely, to see if he seemed slower and tired than usual. He put on a thin white tshirt and some boxers, ruffled his damp hair and climbed into bed. You sat your novel aside as his arms wrapped around you and brought you close, his nose snuggling into your neck and his lips kissing your neck. He seemed to relax as soon as your hands rubbed his arms and back, your lips kissing his forehead. "Babe, how was your day?" He asked, leaning back. "Mmh, same as usual. The kids were little brats and sweeties and the adults were brats," you chuckled. Taemin chuckled and snuggled closer to you, throwing a leg over yours. "Hmmm," you hummed. "How was yours?" You asked, his lips quickly finding your collar bone and placing almost ticklish kisses along the skin, trying to go lower. "Taemin," you warned quietly. "Hmm, it was okay. I've had better. The boys, I had to keep teaching the same point of choreo over and over. For eight straight hours. EIGHT! And they still haven't gotten it! We have to start all over tomorrow! I learned it in 40 minutes, babe! I don't see the problem!" He said desperately, almost in a whine. You nodded, almost as if you understood, which you kind of did. "I'm sorry, love. I'm sure they'll be ready to learn it and have it down tomorrow! Maybe today was just a bad day for them al!" You said, hands going through his thick, dark hair. Taemin moaned as your fingers rubbed his scalp, his worries suddenly being forgotten. "It's give them a chance. They're not a dancing king, like you! Plus, Minho and Jinki have kids, baby," you giggled. Taemin nodded, his lips kissing your jaw as your spoke. "Thanks babe, I'm glad I have you to help me calm down," he said, his hands going to your hair and massaging your scalp this time. You leaned into his touch, smiling. "You're welcome. I couldn't ask for a better person to have come home to me!" You giggled, kissing Taemin's lips and then snuggling into his chest for a good nights rest in your love's arms.
