~Aria~
'Ria! Get up!' Did I just hear someone calling my name? No way. My name's Rapunzel and I live alone, in a tower. Oh shit, it could be the Prince. Naw, sleep is way better.
I snuggled and rolled my body to face the other side of my bed. Bang! "Ow!" I yelped like a little school girl. I squinted my eyes as I took in to my surroundings.
Rapunzel, huh? Living in the tower was way better.
I was on the ground with my back facing the cold hard floor.
Oh great. Way to start a morning. I thought as I sat up straight. I yawned quite a big yawn, covering my mouth with one hand and the other rubbing the back of my head. My hair probably looked like crap, or even worse.
Yea, not such an eye-pleasing view to look at but since no one was watching, I continued doing my thing.
I heard my mom shout-asking from the kitchen if I was fine so I shout-replied to her that I was. Though I was anything but fine. I hoped she was making toast and scrambled eggs. I just love them to bits. Heaven knows why.
Yea, after that, everything that happens on mornings happened. I went for a quick shower - I usually take over an hour - 'cause today was a special case. I was getting late.
I had to be at school in 39. Just great. I brushed my teeth after showering and changed into whatever I could find. Whatever as in whatever. I wasn't the whole nerdy or cool or sporty type and I had clothes of all kinds. I used to go all crazy about skirts and dresses but that was before my parents divorced when I was 9.
My dad liked me all sporty and masculine so I had wardrobes full of tracksuits and 'boyish' (what my mom likes to call it) clothes. I had the urge to wear some girly clothes for at least once and it got fulfilled after my parents separated. My mom liked me all decked up and ladylike.
21 to go.
I ran down with my backpack and saw my mom doing her usual thing. Playing. Candy Crush. Damn, that game was out of trend. What can I say, my mum's the best this way. I hate it when she acts in front of me, trying to be the whole 'perfect mother'.
"Reached 500 yet?"
"Almost there."
"Ooookie." I said as I awkwardly sat and started digging on my favorites.
Toast and scrambled eggs! Omg! You're the best ma!
Mom dropped me to school afterwards. She's a really fast driver at times. I gave her a goodbye kiss as I said, "See you.. tonight?" "We'll see." She smiled as she drove off.
My mom doesn't really have a fixed schedule. Sometimes she gets home at evening and sometimes, she doesn't get home till the next day.
Today was going typical. The only thing different about today was that it was my first day at Rosary High. Since it was the second day of the second semester, I'm quite nervous. My mom tells me not to show it but come on, what can you do when you're the only new girl and everyone just stares at you like you were on the headline of today's news.
Besides, I don't like people. They're weird. Sometimes I wonder why there are such things as human beings. People always betray you and talk behind your back. I used to trust this one man but he left me and mom. I thought I'd never trust men again then he came. He also left me. I used to think second chances should be given to everyone but he made me change my mind.
With all these thoughts running in my mind, I walked to the principal's office passing the noisy crowd. How did I know where the principal's office was? Hah, I'm FABULOUS. Joke, my mom gave me the school map though I had no idea where she got it from.
