Hey guys
How have you been? Yes yes I haven't been posting because school and laziness has deterred me from exerting effort in fanfiction writing. This was originally short story I handed in for English class... not terribly appropriate for school I know. But yes this is SCANDAL fanfic so read on SCANDAL fans! Read on! This fanfic will come in two parts so... heres part one.
Warning: contains profanities and violent behaviour and drug usage.
Mum and dad could hardly pay attention to her since they yell and scream at each other literally every single day and since the eviction notice, violence was added to the mix. Haruna felt like she was no longer their daughter, just another insignificant mouth to feed. Haruna couldn’t understand why life wanted her to be hated and shunned. Even at school, people eagerly awaited to push her into the wall, to jeer at her. Friendless, she was the ignored child, invisible in the corner.
Haruna laid her head against the window sill, pressing her skull on the ambient coolness of the glass. Her eyes focused on ceiling light that was missing a new light bulb. The mattress squeaked underneath her. Some of her hair was caught in the dusty curtain she had never been bothered cleaning; there was no point cleaning when she wasn’t even certain if she wanted to live tomorrow.
Haruna look at her raised pale corpse-like arm lying in her lap, lifeless from the dull light of a rainy day. She lifted it above her head and inspected it in only dim light of the window; the only light source in her room. Her eyes followed the red-purplish tinged bruises and fresh razor cuts that trailed irregularly like train tracks up her arm. She inspected it emotionlessly as if it was an alien object. She pressed one of her newer cuts; sharp throbbing pain shot momentarily shock her awake like a defibrillator forcing her to draw in a sharp breath disgustingly thick lingering cigarette smoke and alcohol. Only to return to her tired, dull state.
She eyes at the half opened anti-depressant and crimson blotched razor lying amongst other unimportant items on her messy table. A reminder of how much of a worthless failure she was; to fall victim to depression’s wrath. Her mouth widens into a smile of mockery, mockery at her own herself. But her smile wasn’t enough to cover up the misery and aching pain her tears brought with it.

It was 2:45pm, Haruna glanced at her watch, knowing hell time was about to begin.
One of the girls yells from behind her. Her voice echoed in girl’s washroom. It was Rina, the head of the “popular” girls.
Her neck and ears begin to tingle from the adrenaline kick. Her grip subconsciously tightened around the straps of her school backpack. Suddenly a strong grip yanked her back. Before she knew it, her face collided into the concrete wall.
Her heart begun to race, her face throbbed with dull pain but that was the least of her worries. She prayed quietly that they wouldn’t pull her sleeve up.
“Why don’t you listen to me? You ugly cunt! Rina’s sickly sweet and sinister tone made Haruna’s stomach lurch. It was her sickly sweet voice that coated her with admirers and popularity. No one would believe she was rotten beneath that perfect external complexion.
Haruna’s chest tightened as she felt a Rina ran her icy hands through her hair and roughly jerked her hair back.
“Who do you think you are? You emo piece of shit.”
“No one.” Haruna whimpered, her voice small, fear choked. Hoping Rina would stop.
“Oii look at this…” A chipmunk voice said in sarcastic enthusiasm; it was Tomo, Rina’s loyal follower, a desperate wimp.
Another hand pushed Haruna’s sleeve up. At this point Haruna anticipated the worst.
Haruna heard camera sounds; the girls had taken photos of her abused arm. Their giggles echoed in the bathroom. “Gonna hash tag stupid emo to this one.” Tomo giggled.
“Fuck off…” Haruna growled.
“What are you gonna do? Go cut some more?” Rina scorned. She smashed Haruna’s face into the concrete wall.
“Shut up.” Haruna growled
“Try and make me! You little fucking piece shit! No one likes you and your ugly face! Get the Fuck out of here!” Rina screamed in her ear.

Haruna took out her phone when she received an alert. She glanced around the corner and spotted Mami standing in a secluded part of the school building. Haruna quickly scanned her surroundings make sure the bitch and her lot weren’t around. She walked by briskly but steadily towards Mami.
“You got the money?” Mami said emotionlessly. “If you ain’t paying, you ain’t getting it.”
Haruna stared up at the girl whose eyeliner did one too many laps around her eyes and an odd piercing in one of her eyebrows. She fished around her pockets for the dollar bills. She handed over the agreed amount and Mami swiftly handed over a small plastic bag with the drug that was in everyone’s conversations. It was the new synthetic substance that gave that kicked in faster and gave best trips.
Mami muttered something Haruna didn’t quite catch before walking off. She could hear loudmouth Rina approaching. Haruna tried to walk away before she was caught up with Rina’s gang. In a dazed moment she bumped into tall senior. Haruna could feel her heart beat rattle her entire body as she stared her fallen packet; her secret was out…
For that moment everything seemed to have come to a halt, all the noise of the schoolyard after school had simply disappeared. Tall senior thankfully didn’t notice the packet and walked off without an apology.
“Haruna is a drugo!” she heard Rina taunt. Haruna instinctively took picked up the packet and ran for her life. She had enough, she was sick of it.

Thankfully neither mum nor dad was home when Haruna opened the front door in a panting sweaty mess. Her stomach growled demanding the meals that were missed during the day. She ignored them and took out the packet from school bag and left the bag on the family couch. She poured herself a glass of water and down went the little pill that would at least blot out her misery.
Her eyes trained on the kitchen pantry waiting for the drug to kick in. Disappointed, she left the kitchen and decided she’d spend her time in the forest behind her house.
Haruna unlocked the backdoor and aimlessly wondered into her world beyond the woods. Her sneakers crushed the autumn leaves, her body shivered under her thin school shirt and jacket that was only suited for early autumn.
Haruna became fearful as her sight begun to sway and take on a bright coloured hue. An unnoticed log hooked Haruna’s foot sending her face first into a pool of autumn leaves. Her vision went black.
