Birdstorm
Crackling flames pressed against the rotting body, gangrene clinging to the loose flesh and pulling at the reminince of hair that was still on the body. Slowly, the body collapsed to its knees, then pressed down into the boiling tarmac. 10% of her fuel she had used to kill the monster. 10% that could be the difference between life and death.
"Shit..." She swore to herself, brushing her thick, overly curly brown hair out of her grey eyes. Sweat deippes down her forehead as she continued walking in the Los Angeles heat. The Zombie Apocolyse and she was stuck in one of the warmest places in America with absolutely no way in getting back to England. Georgia had been quite an average girl with a small youtube channel, a decent job and in her first year of University. She had decided to treat herself and go to PAX West to meet her alltime heroes, Markiplier and Jacksepticeye, and possibly get a few connections for her own youtube channel. But, natrually, as was her luck, she had been thrust in the middle of the end of the world. She continued down the street, a small bark drawing her attention to a shaded alleyway. Instantly, she recognised the semi-famous pooch, the gorgeous golden girl, Chica.
"Chica?" Her vocal cords croaked, her throat parched from the lack of clean water she had consumed recently. Yet her eyes lit up at the sight of the dog. "Hey there little pup!" She grinned and took a few steps towards the animal, moving her palm so the big dog could sniff her skin. Chica pressed her snout against Georgia's sweaty palm, deeming her uninfected and safe. Georgia moved her hand to pet the dog, smiling warmly.
"Let's try and find your daddy, hey Chica?" She didn't worry about where the dog came from, but knew it was her responsibilty to look after the animal as best as she could.
"Don't worry, I will protect you." She whispered and gave Chica a small scratch behind the ear to calm her. From then, she moved her hand to the gun on her side and the bow on her back, fingering through the few arrows she had. She was quickly distracted by the gargling in her belly and gave the animal by her side a small smile. She decided that they would find some food and some shelter before nightfall, then aim to find a way out of America soon.Matthias
Matt was ungodly terrified. He cradled Luna, his precious Luna, to his chest as the sounds of the undead passed by in a large horde. His first priority, as always, was getting his girls to safety. He had to get them away from California and hopefully somewhere safe... Whereever was safe anymore. Luna let out a small distressed sob, wishing for her mother. Matt held his baby girl closer, hushing and rocking the child.
"It's okay, I promise. We will find Mommy and get nice and safe." Matt promised his little girl, wishijg for a moment that he agreed to go shopping with Amanda instead of staying in during the heat wave. Matt flinched slightly as he heard a barrage of bullets slamming into the head of the zombies, making them crumble instantly. Luna began to cry at the loud fight that had broken out, clutching onto her fathers chest as tightly as she could. Matt moved one hand to cradle the girls head, trying once again to shush her as the gunshots slowed down, as well as the crashing of bodies. Matt risked a look over the bollard he was hidden behind, seeing the once again dead and brainless bodies. Quickly, he scanned for his rescuer and his eyes quickly fell on the blue haired boy that had quickly joined ranks with Mark and Tylor just a few months ago.
"Ethan!" Matt yelled, getting up and rushing over with one arm open to give him a hug.
What he didn't expect was litle boy blue to turn the gun on him...TBC
