Slowly feel the goodness disintegrate,

As time edges away my weakening soul,

The oceans of disappointment spray into my heart,

As society and all its connotations loose control,

My faith is like the dying rose,

Once so strong and full of pride,

Now a shadow of what once was,

Faded, wilted, and hollow inside,

I look into my emotionless eyes,

Scarred by life and all its betrayals,

Never even got to say my goodbyes,

To those who now live with the angels,

Inside there used to be love, compassion and tenderness

I Used to trust, I used to be free,

Now all that's left,

Is an empty shell of a former me.
