Chapter 20

Jordyn's POV

I heard arguing at the door so I went to go check it out before neighbors started complaining. It was Ethan. He and Dylan were arguing.

"Jordyn!" Ethan looked past Dylan.

"Go away." I balled my fists.

"What did I do?"

"Dylan, can we have a moment alone please?" I walked towards the door.

"Jord..." Dylan trailed off.

"It's okay." I nodded.

"I'll be in the room if you need me." he moved out of the way and walked into Taylor's room.

I walked out and shut the door behind me.

"Why are you here?"

"Why are you crying?"

"Because you played me Ethan. Did you feel sorry for me? Is that why you asked me out?"

"What does that even...?"

"You figured you could toy with me until someone better came along, and I wouldn't mind because I was lucky a popular guy wanted me. Well, you know what really sucks about falling for a guy you know you're not right for? You fall anyway because you think he might turn out to be different."

"Jordyn..."

"I have nothing else to say to you. So uh, I'll see you at school." I walked back into the house.

Ethan's POV

"You figured you could toy with me until someone better came along, and I wouldn't mind because I was lucky a popular guy wanted me. Well, you know what really sucks about falling for a guy you know you're not right for? You fall anyway because you think he might turn out to be different."

"Jordyn..."

"I have nothing else to say to you. So uh, I'll see you at school." she turned around and walked back into the house.

I started walking back to my house, while trying to figure everything out. As I walked into the driveway, I saw a rose on the floor. I picked it up and saw the note. It was signed with my name... but I didn't write this. This is probably why the twins were here.

"Where'd you get the rose?" Grayson asked.

"It was in the driveway."

"From whom?"

"I don't know. But Jordyn's pretty hurt right now from something I didn't do. Her stepsisters did this and I don't know how I'm suppose to explain this to her."

"What happened exactly?"

"I was working on my homework, for once, and her sisters just barged into the room."

"Oh yeah. On my way home, I saw Jordyn walking back to her place and just assumed she came here for you but left because you weren't home. We had a small conversation but she was in a rush to get home. Then I saw the twins walk out the door. I think one of them was wearing your shirt."

"They were. I don't remember which one but they took my shirt." I groaned, "I don't know what I'm gonna do, Gray."

"First, you need to go do your homework. You still need to graduate. And it would be better if you graduated with your class but if you don't that's all on you."

Jordyn's POV

Ethan: Jordyn
Please answer me
I can explain

Me: explain what? Explain why you played me?

Ethan: your sisters sabotaged me.

It honestly seems like something they would do, but I'm not giving in. I've been hurt too many times.

Ethan: Jordyn please

Me: I have nothing to say to you. Not right now.

Ethan: Jordyn

I didn't reply. I really didn't have anything to say. I don't even wanna go to school tomorrow. I don't wanna see him.

Ethan's POV

The next morning I was frantically looking for Jordyn. I saw Dylan walk in but I didn't see her.

"Hey, where's Jordyn?"

He stopped and looked at me, "Don't you have other girls to play?"

"Dylan. It's not my fault."

"Then whose fault is it? Explain to me what happened." I could tell he was frustrated.

"The twins managed to convince my mom to let them in and they went through my drawers and took my shirt and wore it." I sighed, "I would never hurt Jordyn like that."

"Yeah well that's debatable. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm trying to get to class. So it would be nice if you got out of my way."

"Where is she?"

"Don't worry about it."

"Is she here?"

He turned around and didn't reply.

"Dylan." I called his name.

I haven't felt this sucky in a long time.

"Did you get the answers you needed?" Grayson caught up to me.

"Nope. And I don't know how I'm gonna get those answers either."

"Come on. You got a whole day to figure it out. Plus, she's gonna have to come around eventually... right?"

"I hope so."

A/N: I'm sorry Grayson hasn't been making more appearances these past few chapters. I just can't think of ways to include him into the storyline. I'll try my best to find a way some how.
